I got my sweetie an Aria and Fit One for Christmas (she doesn't like the bracelet) and got myself Fit Force. The Aria stays at her house, so I guess I'll weigh every other weekend. I used to weigh on Sunday mornings when I took my glucose reading. I'll say.

I used to be one of those people who weighed myself daily. I finally realized that I was driving myself insane and now WI every Saturday AM. There were some benefits of weighing daily, like being able to analyze why I had a gain (too much sodium, not enough water, etc.) but I'd become really discouraged if I saw a gain and would be less likely to workout and more likely to eat junk. That's just me 🙂

The Aria is very super convenient. It can log your weight and fat% directly to FitBit, do so for husband, and additionally allow your guests to easily weigh themselves. It seems to support upto ~345lbs and stands up to regular abuse. As far as accuracy, I've at least experienced that it's consistent, and I seem to recall reviews saying it wasn't too far off when it came to accuracy. Of course, there are non-BIA methods that may be much more precise. 🙂
PS - I weigh daily, but only worry about the long-term trends!

I weigh myself in the morning, when I wake up and am on a flat stomach.
It can become discouraging / obsessive, so be smart with it.
If you feel once a day is too much, then go up to 3 times, or once a week.
That way, you will be able to see the progress. When I was on my diet, I would write down how much I weighed every week and when I met my goal, was able to see how I averaged!

A Dad of a four year old girl watched her father weighing himself every morning for several weeks. The Dad was trying to take off a few pounds for an upcoming reunion. One day after watching him weigh himself yet again the little girl asked, "Daddy, why do you measure your feet every day?".

I also use to be the person who weighed herself everyday and it started to drive me insane. I now have a setup where I way myself every 2 weeks on Friday before I work out. I'm also thinking of purchasing the Aria scale. Does anyone use a similar scale to the Aria that may be a little cheaper?!

I use the Escali scale and I have had that for almost two years. When I am trying to lose weight, I weigh myself daily-- but that is because I am a numbers freak and I chart and graph everything I eat, do and weigh...
Escali tracks up to 10 ppl, gets your weight, body fat% and water %. THe only difference ( besides price) is that the Escali does not wirelessly synch to the fitbit.
Escali - $50

Walmart has the Weight Watchers Glass Body Fat Bath Scale on sale for $34.97 this week. It measures body fat, body water, bone mass and BMI. Whether it syncs with Fitbit or not, I do not know.

I"m in the weigh every day camp. First thing in the morning, after potty-ing
When I DON'T do it, my weight creeps up stupid fast. Its the main reason my weight is back to 30 pounds over where I want to be. I cheer the decreases, and buckle down harder with the upticks.
What I really need to do is get back to the gym. Dragging my feet...

I agree with you 100% because I do the same thing. Even though at times it seems that you are on the right track on losing weight and then suddenly, you have not lost any weight or gained a couple of pounds. But we cannot lose sight of our goal we have set for ourselves on losing the pounds we have established for ourselves. .

I don't log it every day but I do weigh every day.
