I don't think there's a right or wrong answer to this question.  It depends on the person.  I personally weight everyday, but I don't freak out when it fluxuates by several pounds each day.  I look for a range and try to stay in that range.

I believe a logical and accurate approach is to weigh daily and average your weight for the week to follow progress.  You're taking more samples that way.  If you just weight in once a week you might just happend to hit a high or low day.

Others may have emotional reasons for not weighing in every day (nothing wrong with that), but for me the above makes the most sense.

I tend to weigh myself every morning after waking up before doing anything else (well, after peeing if I have to go lol) Knowing my weight every day keeps me in check specially if I'm lusting over some fatty treats 😉 I only mark my weight on the weightbot app once a week so the view doesn't get filled with +0.1 or -0.2 numbers for very day 'cos that's just stupid lol

I recently purchased the Aria and am very happy.  It's a bit pricey, but well worth it.  Quality seems exceptional, at least so far.  Weight, body fat calculations, Multiple user set up and links to your dashboard.  Fitbit makes this journey so much easier than I've ever experienced.  I agree with the rest, don't rely solely on the scales.  I like to analyze my weight to my previous few days activities, or lack there of.  🙂

Weight in at morning right after visiting toilet everyday. That's atleast what I do.

I'm using Fitbit Aria and have it connected to ifttt.com where I've recipe that will log my weight in a Google spreadsheet, and on the google spreadsheet I've made a graph on my weight with weekly average weight and monthly average weight.

For me the weight differ day to day. So just logging once a week will be more inaccurate than doing everyday (or as often as possible) and go with average weight in that week.

For me I weigh myself in the morning every day. I know my weight will fluctuate  a bit so some days it goes up and others it goes down. Overall I am on track to meet my weight loss goal by next summer.

I use the Android App "Libra" to record my weight, and then weigh in every day (morning, before shower, after using restroom).  Libra plots the actual data, but also uses real statistics to calculate a "trend" value for your weight.  It helps you to see the actual pattern instead of focusing on random spikes and dips.  It really works for me!

As a bonus, the graph on Libra shows a smaller weight range at a time, so you can see changes more easily.  It helps me see that I'm really making progress, even though I'm losing weight slowly.  It isn't nearly as flat as the Fitbit graph!
