Hello @RockinRach
How much do you want to lose ? How much you weight and what is your target ? What is your current calorie plan : income and expenditure ?

I want to lose 100 pounds I'm at 243lbs but want to get too somewhere around 140lbs and I eat about 1,000 calories and burn about 2,000 a day!

I think this is unhealthy, you are eating way too little calories, not enough for your body to manage its basic needs. Your body probably went into a protective mode and some functions are shut down, which will result in some health problems mid term, potentially serious. You are losing slowly because of that.
You should consult a specialist but my advice if you want to lose a bit faster : increase your calorie intake to 2000 kcal a day and your calorie burn to 2500 kcal a day, The difference is only 500 kcal compared to 1000 kcal today but this will work better because you will not be starving your body.

I am not an expert in weight loss, but I know that it is better not to lose weight quickly, as it can be bad for your health.

So basically what your saying is don't go so hard at the gym because I tend to go heavy with the weigjt for my legs I do 80lbs but my kneecap either got sprained or it popped and instead of stopping I went higher on the weight
Because are you supposed to push yourself like a lot in order to lose the weight so you have to go hard

You might be using poor form on weights (usual cause of injury), have a trainer check.
you should also rest an injury to prevent it getting worse.
In my opinion, exercise and weightloss need to be disassociated.
to lose weight requires an energy deficit, but exercising with an energy deficit isn’t optimal. In many cases it just creates a bigger energy deficit (which the body may not be able to cover).
exercise to improve fitness where fitness needs to be improved.

Slow and steady will help your body adjust, skin shrink, muscles tone and have best success for long term weight maintenance. I suggest WW as a program. Everything is on the menu with smart weight loss.

Any gym should have staff that can demonstrate correct use of equipment, but you’ll have to ask for it.

Are you doing strength training? The scale won't go down as fast (because muscle weighs more), but you will be trimmer.

Hi there @RockinRach. It looks to me you have had a bit of advice already. There are some good tips here for sure. First let me share some thoughts about what I’ve seen here, before I give my opinion.
1) Your target: 100 lbs lost
2) Your eating habits: 1000 calories
3) Your workout plan: Weight training
So, I’m curious about how you used any previous information and what progress you’ve gotten so far?

@RockinRach Strength training is any form of exercise that involves using weights or resistance to build strength in your muscles.

Keep in mind that there is losing weight at the cost of muscles and weight loss of fat. Obviously, we want to burn fat and protect our muscle. In order to do this you do need to feed your body properly. The metabolic specialist I am working with has me eating 96 grams of protein a day (6 oz. of chicken or beef is 45 grams). I am also eating carbohydrates that grown above the ground (lettuce, green beans, spinach, etc.). He also wants me to strength train 3 days per week to maintain my muscle mass. I also walk 3 miles per day and play tennis around 2 times per week.
I have cut out processed food, sugary drinks, alcohol, sweets, pasta, breads. I take a good multi vitamin to make sure I am getting all my minerals. Also, I do not eat after 7 PM. This allows for me food digest before I go to bed so that my body can truly work on repairing itself versus trying to digest food at night.
My weight loss has been consistent (I have lost 75 lbs since I started) and I feel so much better.
I hope some of this information can be of use to you. Good luck on your journey!!
