i don't see it cheating at all. I usually run up and down the stairs or usually do a little running on the wii fit. 😉

Best Answer

No I don't think it's cheating.  If you do it long enough you actually get warm/hot from doing it.

According to this thread, if you are stepping in place to get steps in, you are not cheating but becoming a Fitbit addict. Cat Very Happy

Moving is moving! That's so much better than the other option! Of course you won't burn as many calories as running a marathon but you are certainly burning more than if you weren't moving! This is why Fitbits work! Cat Happy

Lol- I wonder if folding laundry is cheating. I must say I've been inspired to fold more laundry since my Fitbit counts it as steps while I do it.

Cheating is strapping your fitbit to the border collie while he tirelessly chases frisbees and tennis balls. I would never do that...just an example. ;D

Just so we're clear, it's the Border Collie thing that makes it bad.  A German Shepherd would be okay, right?

Asking for a friend...

I'd clear the friend. I think that sounds about right.

Now I have heard my friend say that playing air drums while driving down the road listing to some classic Van Halen will indeed add a step or two. That one sounds a little shady to me though. I'm thinking friend could possibly add in a kick drum with the left foot, and call it legit.

Note: Playing a double kick drum in the car could potentially be hazardous to your health

Air drums while driving is a perfectly legit way to get steps, though I reccomend keeping headbanging along with it to a minimum, as that could be hazardous

Yes, but being cats, they will remain motionless as soon as you place your Fitbit on them, just to spite you.
