Welcome to the newest challenge and the fifth one of 2019! We are celebrating our scaled and non-scaled victories and progress. Following are some acronyms typically used by those who post. Some of us also track body fat or measurements, please add those as you wish.

 

USW - Ultimate start weight

SW - starting weight for this challenge

CW - current weight 

PW - previous week's weight/weigh-in

LW - last weight/weigh-in

GW - goal weight for the challenge

MGW - mini goal weight

UGW- ultimate goal weight

Hi all,

Where is everybody? Hope all is well with all of you. 

I love the weekend when I can wake up when I'm ready. I keep wanting to retire and travel. 

Staying around 149-150 lbs still.

I read an article about needing to build muscle to increase metabolism as well as do cardio to burn up the fat stored. Went bird watching yesterday, lots of standing and not much walking so only made 2 miles all day. 

Today I'm going to walk more; aiming for 3 miles.  Lovely weather again today. 

Have a good week.  We can do this goal meeting as we approach Labor Day end date. Even if I don't make my 142 goal I will be proud if I get to 145 or 146 as that would still be a 7 or 8 pound loss this period. Since I'm 10 lbs from my ugw the fat seems to stick to my tummy like glue!!  Jeepers the year is disappearing quickly as we are less than a month from Labor Day.

Okay up out of my arm chair and off the computer now.  It is Sunday so I think that I'll go to the shore.

Been a while but have been watching what I eat and getting more steps in and some other exercises. Weight has been moving down slowly which is good.  But now I gotta get my dress for my daughter's wedding altered in the chest.  Always the first place it goes from or attaches to.Smiley LOL

Haven't posted in awhile because i haven't been doing that well as far as being dilligent about exercise and diet. But i'm happy about my progress, and hoping to hit my challenge weight goal in the next few weeks. May come up a little late for the deadline but oh well, it's progress right?

hi all,

Only 3 day left folks. I bounced down and up most days, so I need to buckle down for these last few days. 

Made it to 147.2 within the week but now I'm up at 150.2 this morning.

Just 2 days more to walk, dance and eat fewer carbs and sugars.  

Just looked up my goal weight for this challenge and it was actually very reasonable. I have been thinking of my ugw and feeling that I'm not doing enough!! At least I lost 4.2 lbs since July 5th and I still have today and tomorrow to lose .8 lbs.  I may be able to lose a bit since we are nearing the finish line. Next challenge goal if we go to Halloween will be to lose 4 more lbs. Reasonable and doable if I don't munch out late at night. I need an earlier bedtime.  11 pm is late enough and no munching, just sipping tea after 8 pm.

Hi everyone!

I've been MIA again due to taking a step back from life and just existing for a while. No tracking, no weigh ins, no plans, no goals, just everyday as it came. I think I just needed some time and space to reflect and be. Hubby is still having some health issues and is currently living with a drainage tube, probably for the next 8 days or so. I have done some de-cluttering in my bedroom and now can almost see my rocking chair, have a bag of clothes to donate and am using the extra dresser in my daughters old room as well as the one in our room.

 

My weight is up due to not paying attention or trying so for this challenge the final numbers are:

USW - 218.0

Current starting weight - 209.2 (7/5/19)

LW - 209.2 (sometime in July I think)

CW - 212.2

GW - 199.0 (9/2/19)

Stretch goal weight - 195.0

UGW - 150.0

 

I will set up the next challenge to run from today to Halloween if no one objects. If you prefer a different time line, speak up and we can change it.

Look for the new title of September 2nd to October 31st 2019

Hi everyone!

Sorry for missing my last couple weekly weigh-in/check-ins here - I was in Florida for a conference and then I had company. 

I did weigh myself though - including today! I did not make my goal for this challenge; I had hoped to get down to 255. I am still 260.4 - same weight for last three weeks. On one hand, I'm not delighted. On the other hand....on June 2nd I was 290.9 soooo I should be pretty happy to be where I am!

I hope to join you folks on the next challenge!

Starting fresh soon, so wish all of us well in the next.  Hey Zoot you lost 30 lbs in just 3 months so spread out that is an awesome 10 lbs a month. 

I was pleased with my loss even if it is a lb short of the goal.

Sorry i haven't been on for awhile, but I've been away for the most part. I was a little disappointed i didn't make the challenge weight, but overall very happy about the results I've got so far. Clothes fit better, i feel and look better so weight doesn't really matter. Still plan to get to that ultimate goal weight but realize i'ts going to take time. Thanks all for the support!

Hi everyone! Even though the challenge has ended... I do have an update! I wrote to you last week letting you know that my weight had held steady at 260.4 for the three weeks....I weighed myself today, and my weight was 252! 8.4 weight loss in six days (!) but more accurately, I think, the breaking of a plateau and re-adjustment! 

 

My goal for the challenge had been to get to 255; although the challenge time is over, I feel really happy and like everything is going as it should!
