How It Works:
The purpose of this challenge is to keep track of your daily step goals for June 2017. This is not a competition to see who can do the most amount of steps, instead it is a challenge to measure your consistency . So whether you do 100,1k, 5k, 10k or even 40k steps a day, this is measuring how many days out of 30 for the month can you hit your goal.
Some of you might have a constant goal of 10k steps every single day and some might have a variable goal throughout the week, for example.
Monday -> Friday = 10k steps a day
Sat & Sun = 6k steps a day
Regardless of how you structure your daily goals, the only thing that matters for this challenge is whether or not you reach what you set out to do.
Suggested Posting Format
1) Post either your constant or variable step goal.
2) Keep track of the # of daily goals achieved / 30.
Optional
3) Post either your constant or variable (anything you want) goal.
4) Keep track of the # of daily goals achieved / 30.
Oddly enough, the optional items keep growing, that's why I changed the title slightly. In the end it's about setting goals and improving habits. So the optional items can really be anything. Running, biking, weight lifting, food goals, etc. Some will add a goal that is not daily - ie. wanting to do so many strength training workouts in the month - so you would be aiming for a number not necessarily out of 30. Really, it's just completely open.
Injury Notice
If you injure yourself during the month and decide scale back the number of steps due to the injury, then all you have to do is adjust your daily step goal for that period. If you normally do 10k steps a day but pull a hamstring and decide to do minimal walking (2k steps a day), then all you have to do is change your goal.

0 for 6 out of 30 Chart Burn
2 for 16 Lifting
Well it was another good day in the right direction. Missed the chart burn by about 100 cals but got the lifting in and kept the calories in check.

Day Seven
1. 10,000 steps/day. I will be consistent in June!
7/30
2. Running. I will run 70 miles during the month.
15.4/70
I'm knackered! My dreadmill run yesterday drained me far more than I thought. The 5am alarm this morning didn't help much either. After work I was still short of my 10,000 steps so forced myself to go out for a short stroll. I'm now at 12,000 so can rest up until supper time.

7th:
1) 7/26 days - 5000 steps or equal stationary activity (like spinning)
2) 2/9 days - gym program
3) 1/4 days - hiking
4) 1/4 days - take it slow
Complete and utter stationary day. I think I've changed my mind about going out/staying in a million times and I don't know what's wrong with me today, but my brain is just... weird.
Tomorrow will be better because I said so.
Edit: Would still call it a slow day but I just had to get out and try to clear my head so still ended up meeting my step goal.

I've been tied to my desk all day today. We're in a programming break at the library I'm at and so all the planning/meetings/trainings are all piled on now to get ahead for when the summer programs start next week. It's just been meeting after meeting today. I only have 4000 steps right now and usually I have nearly 10,000 when I'm leaving work. I'm glad I didn't up my step goal, it's going to be a bit of effort getting just to 10,000 steps tonight.

Day 8: Was a long day @ work. Didn't go for a walk during lunch hour. At one point of the time, my brain stopped working and went for a blah... Went for a walk with my daughter later in the evening and finished my goal steps and 30 active mins. That's it. Rest of the evening I was lazy 😞 and of course I wanted to be like that!
1) 13 k step goal - 8/30
2) Run - 10 days - 1/10
3) Active minutes: 30 + - 8/30

10k steps 8/30
.5 hour activity 8/30
1+ pushup 8/30 (Starting: 1 reg 4 modified, Best so far: 10 modified)
1+ crunch 7/30 (Starting: 10, Best so far: 20)
1+ plank 7/30 (Starting: likely 30 seconds as I counted fast, Best so far: 55 seconds with a stopwatch)
28 ounces fruit/veg 6/10
The fruit and vegetable goal has gotten a lot easier. I found some things I can eat without bloating up at work. I'll probably even get more than 10 days.
I did something to my neck/back yesterday. I was doing my crunches and my kid was talking to me and I turned towards her mid crunch and now this morning I can hardly turn my neck. It didn't hurt when it happened, started hurting at 3 AM. So, I might have a couple days where I can't do crunches, hoping to still be able to do the other two exercise goals.
Weight upticked because I forgot and weighed in with wet hair. My hair is waist length, so, definitely a lb or so heavier when wet. Sigh. I'm not a morning person.. lol

An emotionally exhausting day today. The first anniversary of my father-in-law's death. An absolutely amazing bloke who I still miss every day. Just about hit my 10k, but steps haven't been my priority today.
RIP Dad.

8+9th:
1) 9/26 days - 5000 steps or equal stationary activity (like spinning)
2) 3/9 days - gym program
3) 2/4 days - hiking
4) 1/4 days - take it slow
Gym yesterday and a great hike today. The weather seems to have gotten the memo that it's summer for a few days at least. Supposed to rain all next week so I'm thinking I should do another hike this weekend.

I had to end my 10,000 step streak at 58 days. I fell in the bathroom (maybe tripped over a cat) and knocked myself unconscious for a few minutes. Had to go to the ER for some stitches. It may be a week before I start another streak.
