Well its official, I've had this gadget strapped to my wrist with a rubber band for exactly one year now. In some ways it feels like this year lasted forever and in others it feels like the fitbit arrived via ups a couple weeks ago. I have learned quite a bit this past year including losing my fitbit charger about a million times but the most important lesson has been getting involved in the "fitbit community". When I first signed up the first thing I did was delete the "friends" square thinking why would I use this. Fast forward 1-year, I would now choose the fitbit community over the fitbit itself.
I wish everyone the best on their own fitbit missions. If you are relatively new to this community I strongly encourage you to get involved. The more you put in the more you get out of it. I want to pass a big "thank you" to everyone and here is to many more anniversaries down the road.

Congrats! I will celebrate my fourth anniversary at the end of this month! For me, there are clearly "Before Fitbit" and "After Fitbit" eras .

YAY! I passed my one year at Christmas time, but only recently got into the community, and you're right—being here has made me much more serious about taking care of myself and has given my a support I didn't think I could have.
Hooray for you and keep on stepping!

@almost_where: Congrats! Keep stepping...
I am completing 2nd year anniversary this June. As @Dominique said, for me there is also BF and AF.
I started my weight loss journey back in 2007 and lost 62 lbs. I have put on 15 lbs (I would say I am toned little bit) back through my running and strength training. Still I have at least 20 lbs to lose. Even though, I acquired healthy lifestyle from then, I learned a lot from this community. I am seriously involved with this forum for the last few months. Thanks to you all for inspiring me and motivating now and then. When I read or sharing some of the experiences here, I feel like I am fortunate to be part of this community.
thanks

Yesterday was my 1 month anniversary. And I agree, I might be even happier about the community and the motivation I get from that than from the Fitbit itself.

@almost_where- Congrats on the anniversary. Although I kind of lurked around for a while, I haven't even hit my 1 year of posting time. The fitbit gave me the tools, but the community keeps me going.
