Excited to begin another challenge! As I had used Canada Day (July 1) as my end date, I'm starting this Labour Day challenge early 🙂 (yes, it is Labour in Canada 🙂 )
SW: 134 LBS (Dec 2014)
SW for challenge: 125 LBS
GW: 116 LBS
UGW: 112 LBS
Continuing on with the 1 LB/week goal! The difficult part of the challenge will be our two week summer holiday.. but I know I can get there with consistent tracking and a little (okay, a lot) of will power and exercise!

Excellent point about realistic goals. We have to have a deficit of 1000 cals daily to lose 2 lbs a week. We definitely need to drink lots of water to stay hydrated in the summer heat. The closer we are to a healthy weight the slower the loss often tends to be.
Let's burn the calories and kick the junk food to the curb. We can get healthier day by day while losing lbs.

Going to add a 30 day workout routine to this challenge (push ups, sit ups, squats & planks)

Wow Welcome to all the new challengers. Looks like people are setting reasonable goals for 9 weeks away. Made my July 4th goal of 140 so let's see if I can make it to 135 by LD. Only, 9 ozs a week to lose, so I can do this and hit 21 BMI. I will continue my 500 cal. deficit and see what happens.
All the very best to each and every one of us on our way to greater health.

Today is July 5th. I think I joined just in time. After last night celebration, I definitely need to lose weight. I have been trying to lose the excess weight for 10 years already, but have not had much success. Bought a fibtbit back in April, but so far, not much changes because I have been trying to do it myself. I am excited to join the challenge.

Welcome new folks.
Yesterday, 7/4 I hit my goal of 140 plus .6 of a lb. so I counted it a win. Now this AM the scale said 142.2 and the only thing I can contribute that to is too many dips into the pistachios on the way to the fireworks. So now I have to change my SW to 142.2 and
LD GW 135
UGW 135 probably.
Off we go day one. All the very best to new and old challengers. I think of it as challenging myself with support from others.
Set a realistic goal that you can make in 9 weeks,

What are everyone's plan to lose the weight for this challenge?
I am planning to walk 10,000 steps, and run 30 minutes (equivalent to 2 miles), which will count toward the 10,000 steps. I am thinking of swimming and weights to tone up too.

I was planning on getting my 10,000 steps and then doing the Dr Oz 10 day diet. Will still do the diet but fell off a ladder yesterday and hurt my ribs and left calf. Can hardly walk today.
