Way to look at the positive, @pcobb8. Life throws some serious punches sometimes, but there are silver linings: now you get to enjoy the best weather of the year (Fall!!) until you start your new position! Cheers to finding new trails both in life: career and on foot 🙂

@pcobb8 Oh noooo!!!!
Gosh I am so sorry they let you go! Yikes! That's awful!!! did the other company come around with their offer though?? Will you be starting there soon?
Geee... that must have been quite a shock for you! Of course you got thrown off your routine! But man, you got back into it! Right away! You didnt find excuses - you just DID IT!!
How awesome is that?!?!?
And there is no question that it will translate into your goal! You've done great and if it's not this time you weigh in (because stress hormones can not only affect growth but also weight loss) then it will be next week and a bigger drop than usual!
I am so proud of you!!!!! Well done!!!
PS. and thanks for the congrats on the 60 lbs lost. I am quite happy!! But now life threw ME a curveball. My doc switched my meds up and one of the most often occuring side effects is weight gain - no diet or exercise helps in this case. It's a brain/hormone thing... I am crossing fingers of course and hope I am part of the "other side" that doesnt gain! LOL

Welcome @hipsterkhris
I am pretty sure you can do it! What's your plan to get there? I have seen pretty awesome transformations lately with healthy eating, exercise and motivation all together.
I think what's key is not coming up with constant excuses .... wait... watch this video! It's HILARIOUS!!!!
Some real life excuses for NOT being able to work out!
Cheers

Hi Everyone,
I would love to join this challenge as well. I am really looking for some accountability and some way to help me stick to my goals and actually make things happen. I think it may help to have a group to report into and and a set weekly weigh in for the challenge. I have had my fitbit for a while, but have not been super consistant about my diet or exercise. I am trying to eat a very clean mostly whole foods diet. As far as exercise goes I am trying to work out 3 to 4 times a week. I am doing a little running, as well as weights and stretching. With that said. Here are my stats:
USW: 189 11/01/2012
CSW: 170 09/15/2015
GW:160 10/31/2015
Thanks
Sarah

Welcome Sarah!
I am sure we can help you here with check ins and accountability and support!!! It's a great place to be and you can absolutely do this!!
I love your approach of eating a clean, healthy, whole foods diet and combining it with exercise! In the end, weightloss happens in the kitchen, but exercise is soooo good for us! It is never wrong and can really help to get amazing results.
Look at this girls from our facebook group for example! She lost 39 lbs and got a nice toned core, wouldnt you agree?? And she did exactly what you are doing! Eating clean, following an exercise program and being part of an amazing support and motivational group online ( in this case facebook ).

@nyx425 I gave a couple of the beginner Tracy Reifkind kettlebell videos a go last night & it was tough. But the good kind of tough. So a long with a couple of her videos & 1 other from another instructor on youtube I did a 30 min kettlebell session on Monday & I have been feeling it today in my legs, arms & tummy lol!
It made my run this evening more challenging than normal where my legs were a bit achey but managed to get through it, thankfully just before it started to rain.
Will check in again in a few days with my weigh-in.
Keep up the amazing work everyone!

Hello everyone! I know I'm late joining this challenge, but I would like to use this to motivate me even more. It will be good to set this short term goal so that I can ultimately reach my ideal weight. I've been doing P90X since August 10th and have lost 13 lbs so far. Here are the numbers that I would like to reach.
USW- 186.5 lbs 8/10/15
CSW- 173 lbs 9/15/15
GW- 160 10/31/15
Thanksgiving GW- 155
Christmas GW- 150

@WAREAGLE05 Welcome!! Finally I am not alone LOL! I am doing the PiYo program from Beachbody - how to you like P90X?? Are you using Shakeology as well? How do you like it?
For me it really helped me to break my plateau.... but I think now I am looking at the next one... every 30 lbs or so my body says "yeah... no... wait a second... what's going on here?"
Cheers

I had good success a few years ago with P90X classic, but put back on some weight. I'm doing it again and trying to eat healthy along with it. I really like it because of the variety. It really improves your overall athleticism. It is high impact though and can be tough on the joints. I can definitely tell that I've aged since the last time I did it.

And no I don't use shakeology. I drink Vemma Bod-E. It's filling and tastes pretty good. I'm also limiting my carbs, especially those from bread and things with a high glycemic index. No fried foods! I'm trying divide my calorie consumption into 45% protein, 35% fat, and 20% healthy carbs. This is a good ratio for weightloss. I do give myself one cheat meal during the week. So it's always fun when that comes around!

@kmme congrats on breaking through your plateau!
Having recently been stuck on a similar weight for almost as long I can appreciate how big a deal it is & the sense of relief you feel when the scales show a change, so massive congrats!
Happy stepping all!

@kmme Congrats on your plateau! I know that feeling and it is soooooo hard to not just pack it all in and give up when that happens. Good for you!
@sexiimomma Congrats on your weightloss! Way to go!
I have typically been weighing myself every wednesday. This morning my weight was at 170 with 40% body fat. So no change there. However I feel pretty good because I managed to do all my workouts so far this week and I have been doing well eating on my plan. If I can keep that up I am sure I will see results. Yesterday I did a 20 minute HIIT run outside. The last bit was really fast because I got rained on. Today I need to go to the gym to do weights.
Have a great, on plan day today.
Sarah

Now unfortunately I have a terrible sore throat, off to my doctor appointment and hopefully they clear me to return to work soon. Taking today off from the gym to rest.
