Looking for Weight Loss Buddies/Support!

ANSWERED

Hi I am new to Fitbit and the community. My dear husband got my my fitbit as a Christmas gift and am really excited about beginning this transformation into a new healthier lifestyle! I am 46 years old and after years of yoyo dieting and losing 100 lbs only to gain it all back, I had a major roadblock put up 5 years ago and have been stuck at 275 lbs since. I was diagnosed with several back issues, declared physically disabled by my doctors and was put on 360 percocet a month. In 2012, I moved to Ohio, weaned myself off all the meds my Texas drs had me on and thought I would just lose weight. I am physically active, but not quite enough yet to lose the amount of weight I need to lose. But I am determined to do this! On April 30 I will be in Washington DC participating in a 2 day 39 mile walk for breast cancer (a cause that is near and dear to my heart). So the time is now! No more excuses, no more laziness! Who's with me?

I'm in too.  Just got a new Fitbit, because my old Fitbit one died.  I have the SurgeHR.  I need to lose 30-40 lbs--my goal is to be at least 20 down by mid-May for my son's college graduation.  I am too sedentary by nature, but need to get my cardio and body in shape.  I also would like to fit into the clothes already in my closet!!  I'm using My Fitness Pal as well--I love the way the Fitbit communicates with it.

I bought myself a Fitbit as a late Christmas gift. I'd love to join your group - I need support/accountability too! I was in an accident a few years ago and was on crutches for 6 months. Gained 10 pounds & have gained 10 more since. I just want to get myself to feeling healthy again - and set a good example for my daughter. Let's make 2016 a healthy year!

Good morning! I would love to join in!! I'm notorious for starts and stops when it comes to finess and nutrition ...I feel by being honest and true to myself and putting myself "out there" and joining a group such as this, may just be what I need to continue my "journey"... Here's to us!! We've got this!!

I'm in!  In 2012, I achieved my goal weight...losing a total of 111 pounds from my heaviest weight back in 2007.  I did the Atkins diet and Weight Watchers. Weight Watchers was the best!  For the first time in my adult life I wearing the same size clothes that I wore in high school (I'm 46 now).  But since I went back to graduate school in 2013, I've lost my focus - and have put on almost 25 pounds!  I can't fit into any of my clothes (and I refuse to buy bigger size clothes).  I need to get in control and get these pounds off.  I'm hoping Fitbit will keep me motivated and focused.  I know that to be successful I will have to track my food, share my progress and exercise more.  Here's to a great 2016!

Hi. Count me in. I got my fitbit just before Christmas and I am loving it. I bought it to move more not realising about all the other benefits that come along with it. It has motivated me to start to lose the extra weight I am carrying. I am a complete yoyo dieter too. I am currently weighing in at 275lbs as well although being in Australia makes it 125 kg. I have to lose this weight now. My body is really starting to suffer. I have a continual back ache if I stand up or walk for more than five minutes. For two weeks I have gone to bed with extremely sore knees as I try to move more. My goal is to get to 154 lbs. I dont have a set time frame as I dont want to do it too quickly. I am terrified of saggy skin:)

Dance. Smile. Giggle. Marvel. TRUST. HOPE. LOVE. WISH. BELIEVE. Most of all, enjoy every moment of the journey, and appreciate where you are at this moment instead of focusing on how far you have to go.
