Hi I am new to Fitbit and the community. My dear husband got my my fitbit as a Christmas gift and am really excited about beginning this transformation into a new healthier lifestyle! I am 46 years old and after years of yoyo dieting and losing 100 lbs only to gain it all back, I had a major roadblock put up 5 years ago and have been stuck at 275 lbs since. I was diagnosed with several back issues, declared physically disabled by my doctors and was put on 360 percocet a month. In 2012, I moved to Ohio, weaned myself off all the meds my Texas drs had me on and thought I would just lose weight. I am physically active, but not quite enough yet to lose the amount of weight I need to lose. But I am determined to do this! On April 30 I will be in Washington DC participating in a 2 day 39 mile walk for breast cancer (a cause that is near and dear to my heart). So the time is now! No more excuses, no more laziness! Who's with me?

I actually bought myself an HR Charge for Thanksgiving in order to give myself a chance to familiarize myself with it before the new year. 2016 is going to be my year! Healthy living and healthy eating are my resolutions. Just wish that I weren't panicking in the last days of 2015 though, and od'ing on cookie dough! I would really like to be part of a support group to get past the difficult times and to celebrate successes! Is anyone else waiting until Jan. one to officially get serious or have you started already?

I have started already. Managed to lose 1kg (2lbs) over the last two weeks. Not bad for the time of the year.

Yep, Tracking everything. I didn't know that Fitbit could monitor so many things when I bought one. I only thought it tracked activity. So I hadn't made any plans to start a diet, I just started to use the food counting feature and I loved it. Good luck for the 1st.

Just curious as to what kind of nutrition plan all of you follow? For me, along with working out, a clean eating regime is what works best for me .

I am calorie counting. I like how easy it is with the app. Had a few surprises with the amount of calories in somethings. I will have to take it easy with my potato fetish!

Happy New Year Everyone. 2016 the Year of Achievements!
After a day of lying on the couch yesterday due to overly active New Year Celebrations, I need to move today and tomorrow and try to get to my target 10,000 per day. My weigh in day is Monday and I would like a loss. My dogs are going to love me.
