Hi I am new to Fitbit and the community. My dear husband got my my fitbit as a Christmas gift and am really excited about beginning this transformation into a new healthier lifestyle! I am 46 years old and after years of yoyo dieting and losing 100 lbs only to gain it all back, I had a major roadblock put up 5 years ago and have been stuck at 275 lbs since. I was diagnosed with several back issues, declared physically disabled by my doctors and was put on 360 percocet a month. In 2012, I moved to Ohio, weaned myself off all the meds my Texas drs had me on and thought I would just lose weight. I am physically active, but not quite enough yet to lose the amount of weight I need to lose. But I am determined to do this! On April 30 I will be in Washington DC participating in a 2 day 39 mile walk for breast cancer (a cause that is near and dear to my heart). So the time is now! No more excuses, no more laziness! Who's with me?

Well, today marks the last of my 12 day "staycation", although wonderful I am a creature of habit.. Especially when it comes to routine and am very ready and energized to fall back into it! I did manage to not overindulge over the holidays however my activity suffered greatly! I'm looking forward to starting back to work tomorrow, which is a very active job that I love, and tomorrow also marks the first day back to my 5am gym routines that have been shamefully neglected! I hope everyone's weekend was wonderful and I wish all of you a fabulous week ahead...good luck to all in achieving some goals this week!

Third weigh in today since start (14th December) after clocking up two losses in the previous weeks I have gained a little this week. Not going to let it get to me. In the past with weight loss I averaged two losses and a gain so it looks like my pattern has returned.
I am going to post my weight each Monday morning to try and make me accountable.
Start weight 125.5kg (276.5lbs)
Current weight 124.9kg (275lbs)

would love to join in as well! Just got my Fitbit for Christmas. I need to be held accountable for my weight loss as well (otherwise I can talk myself into cheating and not exercising!)

I have clothes in every size from my slimmer days. I will have plenty of fun getting back into those clothes on the way down the weight ladder.

Got my fitbit on 4 Jan. Never realised how little I move in my job nor how many calories I eat (I nibble on snacks constantly. It'll be a challenge just doing the 10,000 steps! But I'm determined to make the weight loss work this time. Am aiming for 50lb eventually,

Impressed myself these past few days, managed to do 30 active minutes (a miracle for me), restarted going to the gym and booked in for 3 times per week and am going out for a walk at lunchtime. I've managed to do 10,000 steps for the past 2 days
