How It Works:
The purpose of this challenge is to keep track of your daily step goals for May 2017. This is not a competition to see who can do the most amount of steps, instead it is a challenge to measure your consistency . So whether you do 100,1k, 5k, 10k or even 40k steps a day, this is measuring how many days out of 31 for the month can you hit your goal.
Some of you might have a constant goal of 10k steps every single day and some might have a variable goal throughout the week, for example.
Monday -> Friday = 10k steps a day
Sat & Sun = 6k steps a day
Regardless of how you structure your daily goals, the only thing that matters for this challenge is whether or not you reach what you set out to do.
Suggested Posting Format
1) Post either your constant or variable step goal.
2) Keep track of the # of daily goals achieved / 31.
Optional
3) Post either your constant or variable calories burned goal.
4) Keep track of the # of daily goals achieved / 31.
5) Post either your constant or variable (anything you want) goal.
6) Keep track of the # of daily goals achieved / 31.
Injury Notice
If you injure yourself during the month and decide scale back the number of steps due to the injury, then all you have to do is adjust your daily step goal for that period. If you normally do 10k steps a day but pull a hamstring and decide to do minimal walking (2k steps a day), then all you have to do is change your goal.

Goal:
Steps: 20K/day for 25 days
Lifting: 14 days
May 30
29/25
14/14
Thinking about June goals. Starting off with a road trip tomorrow -- going to a high school graduation tomorrow afternoon then driving about 10 hours to South Carolina for a Marine Corps graduation on Friday morning. So I don't think tomorrow will be a big step day! Thinking June will be a "streak month" with a lower daily step goal that I should be able to hit even with interference -- and anything over being bonus.

Day Thirty One - The Day of Reckoning!
10,000 steps: 29/31
50 miles of running: 69.5/50
More important than the numbers is to thank @A_Lurker for running this for us. I'm sure I'm not the only one who finds these topics give me an extra boost of motivation. Thank you. x
Now for my self-appraisal of the month:
Target one: 10,000 steps/day is all about consistency. I dropped two days. I could try to justify that with some figures. With 5:30 hours to go in May, I've done 493,486 steps. That's an average daily step count of 15,919. That's much higher than 10,000. But I won't excuse my laziness that way. My goal was consistency, I missed my goal. I must take responsibility for hitting my goals.
Score: 6/10.
Target two: Run 50 miles in the month. As this was my first full month of trying to get back in to running, this goal was just a "guesstimate" of how much I might manage. In the end, I was just shy of 70 miles, but more importantly, I've loved it! Running is becoming a habit again. I'm enjoying almost every step of every run. I'm feeling fitter, stronger & happier. I'm also getting a little quicker. All is good! I'm going to benchmark next month at 70 miles.
Score: 8/10.
Overall self-assessed score for the month then is 7/10.
Thanks again to @A_Lurker.

@Dave001- I didn't start it, but just stepped in when @almost_where was busy at some point. I like the idea because I really think that consistency is the key to long term lifestyle changes. With that the weight loss feels a little easier. Or at least less like a diet.
I also think you've been too hard ranking yourself. 29/31 days I might have said 9/10. On your miles goal you surpassed it, even if it turned out to be a lower goal. So, a 10/10 rank there.
We're making SMART goals here:
Specific
Measurable
Attainable
Realistic
Time Based

Thanks @A_Lurker,
We are all our own worst critic!
I thought 6/10 for consistency was rather generous! If it had been a Pass or Fail assessment, it would've been a clear Fail!
I'm very happy with the running though. I've actually entered a 10km race in 3 weeks time. And I'm considering a half marathon in August.
I must be mad!

5th Month of the year is over! . Time flies just like that. Completed the step goal for the last day of May. And completed my active minutes of walking. I am taking a break from my running for few weeks and also my cough is not going away. So it's hard to run too with this...
Steps (12 k): 28/31
Walk/Run for 30 mins: 23/31
Overall, not a bad month. But I haven't set a big set of goals. I have to think about for the month of June.
Thanks for everyone who motivated/inspired me to make this happen. Special thanks to @A_Lurker for starting this.
@Dave001: You inspired me to run more. But at this point, I am less motivated and want to self-explore my true love for running. that's why couple of weeks of break. Good luck for your race. When you start training for 1/2 or full Marathon, make sure you have enough time train. Kudoos to you !

The extra long month allowed me to get in 1 more lifting day than planned. WooHoo 🎉
And thanks @A_Lurker and @almost_where for setting this up from month to month.
