New Fitbit user looking to make friends

Hi, My name is Monica and I am new to fitbit. I just started using it this week. So far I have reached my second badge of over 15,000 steps a day and this is only my 3rd day. Not sure if that is good to others but for me it is huge. I suffer from a lot of injuries from an accident. For 5 years I haven't been able to exercise and thus put on a lot of weight. And though I still have a few more surgies I need to have. I made up my mind that I want to loose weight. My health depends on it. Plus, I have become so depressed and hate myself for what I look life. It would be really cool to meet some people that would like to be encouragment buddies and maybe accountability partners to keep each other going. I wont lie, this has been a very painful experience so far for me. I am in great pain trying to push myself. But I refuse to give up. I need to get this weight off. And right now I just need lots of encouragment. So if you want to be friends and add me, I would love the company during this journey 🙂

Hello everyone!
I got my fitbit in Dec., but just recently got really serious about trying to lose weight. Wasn't sure how to find friends on here and then saw this post.
I am really bad about logging in on the weekends. I could use some encouragement also, so please add me if you want. 🙂

I'm new too!  Day 2 with FitBit.  Looking for other newbies to be lost, and then found, with!  I just turned 50, so every pound (or inch) I add seems impossible to loose, and I refuse to buy clothes in a bigger size.....  My biggest fear is that the novelty will wear off (or the task of keeping track of everything will become overwhelming) before I see results.  I know myself well enough to know that results are the only thing that will keep me going on something new.  Can use all the help I can get!!

Hi!

I am new to Fitbit as of this week and would love to find friends on here as well! In addition to wanting to lose 20 pounds, I also have to eat gluten free!

Hi Monica!

I'm a newbie too, I've only had my Fitbit One 3 days. I'm also over at MFP.
I'm struggling with the steps ( my high score is only 8k-ish ) so I'm very impressed with your 15k! How on earth do you get anything else done? lol
I'm trying to exercise with walking ( I tried jogging, the flat feet plus being hideously unfit pretty much made me feel I was going to keel over dead at any moment ) with the odd home workout when nobody is looking.

I'm starting with an initial goal of losing about 40lbs and I'm trying to do it whilst keeping positive and motivated despite depression, anxiety, and BPD. I can do this! So can you! So I'm going to add you as my first friend 😄

Hi Monica! I'll be an encouragement buddy! I need help as well. I've decided to not look at this as doing it for 'weight loss' but a 'lifestyle' change that impacts how I feel for the rest of my life. I need to keep that in my mind to help me focus. 😃 Good Luck! Let's do this!!!
