Welcome to the New Year Everyone! This will start January 1, 2016 officially 🙂
If you have seen the posts before this is a challenge that everyone is invited to join to set your own personal weight loss goal for the next 6 weeks. This is all about having a great support system and most importantly feeling great and happy and healthy about yourself. Don't worry if you have bad weeks because we all go through it.
To join the challenge all you need to do is post your weight stats & check in as often as you'd like with an update or just to share a story from your week. This group has some huge inspiration in it and people that give wonderful advice.
Looking forward to catching up with all our friends from the other challenges and anyone who is new!
Thanks @saraj91 for starting up the last challenge!
A little rundown of terminology for anyone who is new 🙂
USW- Ultimate Starting Weight
CSW- Current Starting Weight
GW- Goal Weight
UGW- Ultimate Goal Weight
PW- Previous Weight
CW- Current Weight

@SunsetRunner - scale goes up and down for me too, but that's ok with me. I know if I stay on track it will go down over time.

I think we all see that somewhat... I have found that weighing first thing in the morning (before eating/drinking) does best for me. I see less of a swing by doing this. I typically weigh after I take my night clothes off before putting my day clothes on... I dont' know if this would work for you, but it does seem more consistent for me.

Well I have not gotten exercise since the start of this challenge. I have been struggling with a virus my daughter shared with me. Hoping next week I will be back to normal and get my butt in gear. I was getting well over 10000 steps before Christmas so want to get back at it. On the bright side I have no appetite so I have still lost some weight. Official weigh in is on Monday so I will post weight then. Anyway hope everyones week is going better than mine.

Hey all! I am new to the fitbit world and taking one day at a time. I am doing medifast and trying to take control of my love of food. I am a proud mom of my little corgi, Willow. Food has always loved me and I it and now its time to step out of our honey-moon fase that we have been in for the better part of 20+ years.
Every day is a challenge, especially at work. All of my coworkers sit close to eachother and all bring food in that all just looks so amazing or worse, taco bell, my weekest link.
My goal is to hold myself accountable to this group and check in everyother day. Progress is positiveness and I am ready. LET'S DO THIS!!!!!!

@SunsetRunner Try downloading an app called Happy Scale. You put in your daily weights and then it finds trends and gives you an average weight. I think this might be useful for you as you mention that your weight consantly bobbles up and down.

I did manage to lose one pound this week with everything I've had going on. I have struggled this week with stress eating. Can't seem to stay on my plan - not going all out on junk, but just eating to be eating is not good & that's what I do when I am under a lot of stress. Here's hoping that next week will slow down a little!
Weigh in for this week:

Week 1 check-in (first week ever!)
Went from 246 to 237...I'm assuming 6 of those were holiday bloat! Will Adjust CSW and CGW accordingly.
USW (bloated) 246
CSW (adjusted) 240
CW 237 (-3 this week)
CGW (new) 226 This is my 'obese' cut-off by BMI. Would love to get there by Valentine's!!
UGW 210
Been a wonderful week; my wife says she can see it already 🙂 Rob

Congratulations to all those whose scales are showing a smaller number! Amazing way to kick of the new year!
To those struggling or finding things difficult, you can do it! This group has been fantastic when I have been stuck on a plateau & they helped pull me through it. Keep checking in & look towards your final goal!
Hope you all have a lovely weekend, I'll be checking in over the weekend.
