I lost 35 pounds with Noom. It took about 4 months. I've kept it off since last August. I never felt deprived. I did slip back and surge forward, and even plateau in my journey. I think about food differently and am a more thoughtful eater. What I loved about Noom is that I could start with what was in my pantry rather than have to go out and buy a bunch of stuff to eat "on plan." For some folks doing this "free form" method is disorienting, they want meal plans and recipes to follow. The problem is that how do you eat once you've lost the weight? If you go back to your old recipes, you end up back where you started. Noom starts you where you are and you learn to eat what you WANT/like smarter and differently.

Go for the paid plan, no need to buy the additional exercise or meal plans. There is a very supportive facebook group for Noomers, and even one for those who have reached goal and are maintaining. I'm happy to answer any other questions you may have!

Thank you so much, your words are encouraging. I need to lose about 10 lbs to be convinced and you are right the program is about the whole person not just food deprivation.
I will reach out as needed. Cheers

Been using is since 1/1/21 and so far I like the plan.  It's much more focused on HOW you eat vs counting calories.  More of a phycological approach.  My only complaint is everything is done through the app and the app has issues.  The integration with FitBit gave me problems.  I finally had to disable all Noom integration with Apple Health and finally got it to work with FitBit.  Entering fod only seems to work through the Noom app.  I love using CronMeter to enter food because it breaks out Vitamins and Minerals, but there is no integration between that and Noom.  Entering food in FitBit does not seem to sync over to Noom...just steps.  Hopefully App will evolve.
