I think it's only accessible through the website. I hope to be proven wrong, but I can't seem to find it.

I had some panicked hours yesterday when my brand new fitbit suddenly went crazy in IKEA and kept vibrating for five minutes straight, showing some kind of weird screens, not letting me turn it off, not getting me to the main menu. I got home, looked it up, and found that the exact issue has happened with other peoples' fitbits. I tried the recommended fix and it worked for me. Who knew you had to have it on the charger to turn it off?? My others didn't. I guess we learn something new every day. It appears to be doing fine now.
IKEA trip gave me over 8k steps and I burned 4500 calories. Phew. I'm taking today as a 'rest' day, though I have to work at the computer. I'm surprised my feet aren't killing me, though. I guess going to the pool is helping my stamina and recovery a bit better than I expected. Yay water aerobics.

Hello! Long time intermittent fitbit user, but new to the forums! I just upgraded to a Charge 3. My goal this year, 2019, was to lose 50 lbs. I've lost 35 so far! I'm hoping to at least reach 40 by year's end. This challenge post seems like a great place to jump in and finish the year strong!

UGW- 180 The closest I've been is 180.8 before they removed by thyroid. It's been a constant struggle since then to get my T3&4 levels adequate. I also have adrenal fatigue. Also have disc herniations at every single level + spinal cord impingement. FMS & CFS. Anyone out there with health challenges, I'd be happy to cheer you on!! 😃 We can do this!

In October I walked two miles or 10,000 steps a day, 10 minute specific muscle group workout, counted calories and no weight loss. Added limiting breads and 5 more minutes to workout, arm and butt challenge for the first week of November and had a loss of 3.4 lbs. So yay, keeping all that and adding eating breakfast, increasing, recording water intake, and one set of 5 repetitions of stairs from basement, first floor, second floor, attic to see if I can get and stay off the plateau.

Hi everyone:
I hope your long weekend (if you were so fortunate as to have yesterday off) went well. I went for my usual hour long walk (Monday, Wednesday, Friday tradition, if you can have a tradition that is only five months old) with my husband yesterday morning, and yesterday afternoon biked 11 miles. THEN, because apparently that was not enough, last night I tried out a bootcamp offered by a guy that started following me on instagram. (Because after spending all these years telling my kids not to meet strangers off the internet, I went ahead and... you know, went to this bootcamp.) AND IT WAS FANTASTIC. Super excited to have connected with this personal trainer/gym! I will be going every Wednesday night starting next week.
Here's why that's good for me. For one thing, I get to change up my exercise routine a bit and that's exciting. BUT ALSO, HOLY SMOKES, I can actually DO the things in the boot camp, which is a huge change from where I have been in the past. Additionally, the trainer is excellent about providing modifications and opportunities to make the moves more or less difficult. I don't know about you folks but I have experienced LOTS of trainers who have no idea how to work with folks who aren't in such great shape and pretty much just treat them like they're lazy and need to work harder. Anyone who has been heavy can tell you that, in fact, one of the biggest barriers to us being able to exercise is that we try TOO HARD, exhaust ourselves, and can't keep up. It is the slowing down and going at a reasonable pace for our fitness level that makes increasing our fitness possible for us. So it is fantastic to me to have met a trainer - and a young guy at that! - who knows and honors that.
I am pretty stoked. Although also sore...

Starting off in the wrong direction but have been dealing with some life stuff recently so not beating myself up. Dear Son (DS) lost his job at the beginning of the month and in checking on potential interview clothes discovered that he has gotten larger and nothing fit. Had to buy new yesterday and we are now both on a mission to lose weight by the end of the year - having a partner should help me focus more.

In October walked two miles or 10,000 steps or more a day, 10 minute specific muscle group workout, counted calories = NO weight loss.
First week of November added 5 more minutes to workout, arm and butt challange, decreased breads in diet. = 3.4 lbs weight loss YaY.
Second week of November added eating a small breakfast, increasing, recording water intake, and one set of stairs in my home, of 5 reps (Wow, stairs always amaze me on how you use such different muscles than a regular workout) = 1.6 lbs of weight loss. (I was really worried because I had a sick day and did not exercise but than did not eat well either and thought I might of thrown myself into a starvation mode thing but so far the weight has stayed off)
This third week I want to add 2 more sets of stairs for a total of 3 sets and 15 trips from basement, first, second, attic. I will have to break that up through out the day.
Total so far of weight loss 5 lbs. Sure hope I can keep it off, kids are starting to come home and the baking starts.

I'm looking to buy an at home scale and I'm seeing some with a lot of different features and apps. Does anyone have any particular ones the like or maybe features they like? I'm not looking to break the bank on a scale either.
Thanks!!

I had some pretty big fluctuations between the first of the month and today (mainly due to indulging period cravings), but it looks like I am still on track to lose 6 lbs this month, which is my Fitbit goal. Here's to hoping I get there!
Anyone have any tips for beating period cravings? I would hate to lose 6 this month just to backtrack at the beginning of next month and have to re-lose!

Although I'm not back where I started November, I did lose 0.6 pounds last week and am in a much better mental state. I'm tracking everything I eat and planning my meals based around WW free foods. I have also exercised at least three times during each of the past two weeks.

Sorry I have been quiet. I've been really sick. Horrible head cold and it's moved into my chest, so it's hard to exercise and breathe at the same time! I'm going to take the weekend to recover and then it's back to the pool next week.
