Best AnswerHi everyone! I wanted to update you all on my status as I haven't posted recently. I just got back from the doctor. I don't have to have back surgery! Whew! But, I do need pain killers and warm water therapy. So I want to change my goals to include warm water therapy and only walking 1000 steps a day until the back pain gets better.
You all are such a marvelous group and I feel so lucky to be a part of it! Keep on keeping on!

Goooood afternoon!!
I would be thrilled to be a part of this group. I do not post too much here but I am super motivated and competition brings out the best in me. I have a daily goal of 8k steps and I have not missed a goal day yet. I simply can not miss it because I would let myself down.
I have been on a journey and I'd love to share my times and stories with you guys. Currently I am at 298 pounds so I have a ton of weight to lose ( 150ish pounds) but I have already dropped 66 pounds. I have comp;letely changed how I eat and what I eat and now I am trying, fo rthe first time in my life, to get really fit and healthy. When my mentality changed to focus on health the weightloss became a very good side effect. Yesterday I joined a gym and I am able to now walk 1.33miles within 30 minutes on a treadmill ( thats at setting 2.8 ). I have many goals but my ultimate goal is going to be on May 21st, 2016 when the Geist Mini Marathon will be my major life accomplishment. I have a good support group around me but one can never have enough support. I'd love to join the group, add some friends and really get in to doing some major steps 🙂 Please feel free to add me as a friend and let me know that you are from this group. I am not currently subscribing to any other group. Hope to see you guys soon 🙂 Keep steppin' 😄

Best AnswerGood luck with your smoking. It is really hard to quit . Make sure you have lots of gum to chew on and lots of candies, mints, etc. (Sugar free of course). I know it sounds rediculous but put it in every coat, sweat shirt, your car, by your computer, and outside where your cigarettes are. Any place that you might smoke, have gum and candy there. Unfortunatly, it can be very, very hard. 'Ive been there. You can always type your frustration to me.
Hello everyone,
I would love to join the challenges. I've been a Fit bit participant / member since April / May and it has helped me drop 15 pounds... I would love to go another 10-13. This weekend, unfortunately, I was laid up with the virus that is going around, so my steps definitely not in any realm of being counted! ![]()
I work as a Practice Coordinator for a medical group within a hospital affiliation; it is essentially a desk job of 10-13 hours a day, though there are times that I am walking a lot.
Healthwise, I have severe fibromyalgia, rocky mountain spotted fever, chronic pain syndrome, chronic fatigue syndrome, restless leg syndrome, and chronic migraine ... though I am too stubborn to take time off from work when I am in pain, so I work through it. Definitely not beneficial to my health, but the work needs to get accomplished.
Feel free to add me as a friend ... and definitely to challenges - I'm always up for those!
Best AnswerAshley is a beast when it comes to steps. Leca certainly gave her a run for her money though! I love having those high steppers in the groups. It reminds me that there is ALWAYS room to do more steps and that it is not impossible. I will be kicking some booty at the gym tonight. Yall watch out, I'm coming though 😉 lol
I really need to step it up when it comes to Weekend Warrior challenges.... I do SO GOOD during the week and it all just falls apart on the weekend. I need to put together some type of routine.... What do you all do that makes it easier to get your steps in on the Weekends??
