What are some good tips on overcoming set points in weight loss?

So trying to ease the stress on the body by how much diet you take so it doesn't try to adapt.

 

Further research since this has shown it doesn't have to happen to this extent, but this is what most cause to happen by jumping on extreme diets.

 

 

Reasonable deficit for the amount to be lost, and the type of exercise being done, and getting enough protein, and resistance training, is the solution when starting out.

If the negative effects have already happened, then taking time out from diet to de-stress body, and attempting again with reasonable.
