Hi all. I have a fat loss goal of 97 pounds. (insert sounds of sobbing and head banging off keyboard). I've been "trying" to lose that weight for so long now I've about given up.
Seven years ago I went on the jenny diet (will never make THAT mistake again) which resulted, after 18 months, in a loss of 58 pounds. I was never so hungry in my whole life and TIRED! I had NO energy at all. I fought for the last 5 years to keep it off but it has almost all crept back on. Then I got my Flex.
For xmas hubby gave me the Aria so between the two I now have to face facts. Sitting on my backside is what's keeping the weight slowly creeping upwards.
I've started back at my local gym on the treadmill. I still haven't reached 10,000 steps in one day yet. The highest I've managed has been about 7500. My daily average when I don't do much is about 2800. So there's a slight improvement.
I also started tracking my food intake on my dashboard. That was a revelation when coupled with how much energy I'd burned during the day. It's one thing to "know" that calories and movement determine your weight. It's a whole other thing to actually see the numbers. Can't hide from THAT truth.
Anyway. I have set my goals and am aiming for 2 pounds fat loss a week. Anyone care to join me?

Does it automatically set the amount of calories you should eat?

Hello, I am all for a realist weight loss goal. I am about 30lbs over weight and am tired of it. My goal is to loss the 30lbs and be down to 120.

Ok Darleen i am in. I started a biggest looser bet with some friends and am not doing great. I only have 30 to loose and have been working out 6 days a week and it's coming off but soooo slow. I will watch for your updates or send a friend request.

Just seeing this now, would love to join in. I'm a 56 year old lady who would like to lose 30-35 lbs. I have always been active and work out a lot, but struggle to lose the lbs that I gained slowly (about 2-3 lbs a year) over the last 10-15 years.
Look forward to supporting each others 2014 goals with success from everyone.

Hello i would to join in too i'v had my fitbit sence 22-1 -2014 and love it dose make you try to beat your steps ever day,I have weight to lose but my main goal is to get fit and health . I am tied of buying bigger cloths when I got some nice cloths in my rob that i love and want to get back onto . I am 66yrs married 45yrs to amazing man we have 3 sons 3 beaitfull daughter-in law and 10 grandkids age from 18yrs to 6yrs ,we had 4 this afternoon they had dinner with us ..Helen

Just found this post and would love to join up. My goal is to lose 52 lbs this year (I figured one pound a week was a resoanable goal overall). So far I am down 17 lbs since the beggining of the year. Also, I have signed up for my first 5k on April 5th.

Hi all... I'm a health and fitness coach and would love to help you all out. I have 10-15 pounds to lose still and have trouble with the eating aspect. I love food and lots of it! I do home workout programs and run, but struggle to get the weight off. I'm horrible at logging my food and really need to work on this! It would help me out a lot to motivate and encourage all of you. I'm hoping it will motivate me to be more accountable with my eating!

Gosh no, I wouldn't consider myself a super duper pusher. I have a 4 yr old and work a full time desk job so I don't have time for that Just trying to fit into some of the clothes I used to wear before said 4 yr old and be able to keep up with her.
