What happened that day that you not only made the decision to loose weight but you also stuck to it. Why is it that some people stick to it, others just quit and most of us have a hard time. Was it something someone said? A health issue? What was it? Or do you just do it?

I had a milestone birthday. Decided I could look forward to being a fat old woman, or a lean old woman, and I prefer the latter.
Blunt, but it really was as simple as that. Down 18 lb in 15 weeks, shooting for 18 more, then I'll assess and decide if losing another 10 would be a good idea (I suspect it will). I make a choice every time I see the doughnuts in the office kitchen or the chocolate cake at the restaurant--be a fat old woman, or walk on by. Keeping that choice in the front of my mind makes it easier.
