@SunsetRunner - thanks for posting this. Almost nobody I speak to about weight loss understands that we lose most of our weight via the gasses we exhale.
By the way, if you have an accurate scale, you can see this effect by weighing before and after sleeping. Also, we lose more weight when sleeping versus lying awake as described in this article.
