Pack some healthy snacks in your purse to avoid temptation. As a diabetic I have to watch everything I eat, so I keep things I like that won't make me feel deprived. For the times I want chips I havbe Pirates Booty, I keep trail mix in snack size zip locks, and hersheys kisses when I want chocolate. Make sure you drink plenty of water too. Sometimes we think we're hungry, but it's really thirst. My favorite is seltzer water with lemon juice. It makes me feel like I'm having a sprite without the calories & carbs.
Have a good time in Vegas!

Avoid eating at buffets -- unless you are very disciplined its all to easy to end up eating large portions (especially if split between a few trips to the tables).

Taking snacks is a good idea -- otherwise the temptation will be to eat fast food in the airport if your flight is delayed.

I went on a three week trip to Mexico. And we ate a lot and a lot of really yummy things -- I log all my food and I saw that I probably ate about 500 to 700 more calories per day. But with the fitbit I also saw that I doubled my steps per day and also burned about 600 to 800 more calories per day.
In the end I lost about 5 pounds in three weeks! Of course your mileage may vary.
Make sure you stay hydated. If you haven't been logging your food I would suggest starting and use that as a comparison. Occasionally I would only have one pan dulce instead of the two I wanted because I could see that I wasn't burning as much that day. Keep active. Go see things, do stuff. You'll probably burn more than you think.
