I am a 68 year old male using a Fitbit Charge 4. I have been successful in losing 11 lbs in about 2 months. The last two weeks my weight has stayed the same. No gain thank goodness but no loss either. My weight loss has stalled. I work out 3 days a week for an hour on a stationary bike and do some work with dumb bells. I have set my walking goal on my Fitbit to 10,000 steps a day. I meet that goal most days for an average of 70,000 steps in a week but sometimes it drops to 60,000 for the week. I load all the food I eat every day and set my goal to 1,500 calories a day. Most weeks my average calories for the week is in the 1,400 area but some weeks it goes up to a little over 1,500, the max of about 1,600. When I look at my daily Cals in vs. Out graphs I noticed that the Under bar, (blue) is well below the Cals Out bar, (black) and I never hit the In Zone bar, (green). I'm confused with what this graph is telling me. Should I try and stay in the Green In Zone every day? Am I walking too much and the Cals Out are too high? Should I take in more calories since my Cals Out are so high? I try not to look a the number of cals left in your budget. I'm not sure how to interpret that number. I'm just kind of stuck at this point. I want to continue to lose more weight and I want to use the Fitbit to help me calculate what I need to do to achieve that. Any help in guiding me to understand how to use the Fitbit to help me continue to lose weight is greatly appreciated.

I can't really say for sure what's going on with your Fitbit. What I can tell you from experience is it is normal to just get stuck sometimes and it can be a real bummer. Especially when you're doing everything right. Once I was close to dropping below 200 pounds for the 1st time in years. I wanted it so bad I could taste it. Did everything I knew to do and the scale just wouldn't budge. If I remember right that went on for a couple of weeks. I did finally get under the 200 mark, but I think it just took patience more than anything else. I don't know if that's of any help to you or not, but I just wanted to let you know I feel your pain!

Thanks Daymon. Dropping below 200 is my goal. I went from 215 to 204. Like I said the past two weeks have not brought a change. I want below 200 real bad also. I will just keep doing what I've been doing and maybe in a week or two I will start losing again. Thanks again for your response.

Hey@Timb10, I'm at a similar stage right now. I'm 67 yrs. old and lost 11 lbs. in about 2 months. I've now only lost 2 lbs. in a month. I too try for 1500 cal. a day, 1600 max. I try to walk 10,000 steps a day and I burn at least 750 cal. a day. I've only hit the green zone once in recent memory. I'm always under. I log my food. Try checking @Heybales profile, he has a ton of info on this subject and explains about the green zone. I'm going to be patient and keep trudging on. If you figure out what's up please let me know and I'll do the same. I have lost a lot of my waist size which is a treat. Take care.
