What kind of success have you had with an Atkins-style diet, that is, very low carbs, focusing on high protein, non-starchy vegetables, and fats?

i've lost 87 lbs so far in 10 months. i'm doing a low carb, medium protein, high fat diet (LCHF). i do not buy any processed products (like atkins bars or meals).

Great question! I too am on a LCHF & high protein diet via my internist. I have lost ~40lbs in the last 7-8 months.

I spent my entire career in healthcare (AHA, Health Insurance and BioPharma.
I am a great believer in the Atkins (or similar) approach. Eliminating fat from our diet and ramping up carbs (good, bad, or other) has led to the epidemic of heart disease & diabetes - and possibly cancer as well.
