I love that fitbit gets me active... but as a consequence it also means I get hungry.. and hungry fast.. once I get too hungry, the snack monster takes over.
I have been trying a little experiment:
Every morning, I have been eating 1/4 cup of Museli (http://www.bobsredmill.com/old-country-style-muesli.html) and a sliced banana..
I also hit it with some cinnamon and a little vanilla extract... it does help.
There are so many fads out there.. to eat grains or not, to cut out breads, flours, etc...
But I find, that this breakfast keeps me full, despite being low calorie.
What are you eating for breakfast that seems to work for you?

I eat a bowl of overnight oatmeal. I have a few different flavours but my favourite is whole grain oats mixed with Greek yogurt, vanilla pudding powder, almond milk, cinnamon and granny smith apples. Then I mix some pumpkin puree, natural peanut butter, honey and cinnamon and spread it over the top. You put it in the fridge overnight for breakfast in the morning. It's high in protein, fiber and healthy fats.

Hi, I make my own museli and eat it with fat free greek youghurt & grapes. Its oats based with lots of nuts & seeds so keeps me going till lunch time. If you would like the receipe, let me know. I make a batch up which lasts about 10 days stored in an air tight container. The only trouble is my husband & daughter like it too, so I have to make double now.

I eat a similar breakfast and rely on some fruit (oranges, tangerines, apples) if I get REALLY hungry. Throughout the day I drink green tea with a little honey* and a thick slice of fresh lemon. That seems to do the trick, with a fraction of the calories of a candy bar.
*I dip a tea spoon in the honey, and just coat the back of the spoon. I'm guessing my entire days worth of honey comes out about 100 calories at most.

I have my coffee with heavy cream and cinnamon; then I either make:
1. protein pancakes with whipped cream and strawberries or
2. my homemade breakfast casserole with

Kashi Golean Crunch (53g/1cup is one serving) and a banana! This keeps me full for so long that I have to schedule a notification lunch to ensure that I do not miss it. The cafe at work closes at 1:30pm so if I don't get a healthy lunch (a soup or a salad) before that, then I am out of luck until dinner (I could leave and pick something up but that is disruptive to my day). The cereal is very tasty and a tad sweet so I don't feel like I'm missing out. Not all of the Kashi cereals are good but this one is a 10.

I have been eating the overnight oatmeal too, a different recipe though that I've found helps keep me full.
1/4C greek yogurt
1/4 C milk
1/4 C old fashioned rolled oats
some vanilla extract
some honey
1-2 tbsp of chia seeds
1/4C raspberries
I have found that my modification to this- more raspberries has been helping me keep full longer, getting my fruit for the day, and the added fiber usually helps, along with the good amount of protein

Two things:
1.) I am a nursing mother so my caloric needs might be a bit different than yours
2.) You didn't mention anything about your preference on carbs.
My husband used to body build and totally turned me on to brown rice. Its from the chicken and rice diet. I do a cup and a half of rice with a little soy sauce and a dab of butter. I find it keeps me feeling full and I dont have the afternoon 'blah' cravings!

My fitbit profile - including the foods I log in everyday, is public. So you can see exactly what I eat every day for every meal.
My breakfast is typically egg whites. Sometimes with spinach, sometimes mushroom, sometimes another vegetable.
I have one piece of fruit. Today it was an orange, but sometimes an apple.
I drink 2 cups of water with my three main meals. Studies show that drinking water WITH food surpresses appetite much better than drinking water alone.
Good luck

I hate breakfast, but at around 10:00 (3 hours after I get up) I have natural peanut butter on a slice of whole wheat bread. If I'm super hungry I add an apple. It seems to have staying power.
I've tried oatmeal in the past and it does seem to do miracles for keeping me full, but it's too hard to force myself to choke it down. Yuck.

I find that a half cup of cottage cheese helps curb the hunger in the am - I need protein in the am!! In the evenings, I eat air-popped popcorn for the fiber!
