looking for friends - 50s and female and getting fabulous!

Hi!  I'm looking for some friends for motivation and support.  I'm 51, female, and working on losing 30 lbs.  My A1c is pre-diabetic so I'm shedding some weight to try and get it under control. 

 

Anyone?

Hello,

I'd like to take part in Being Friends with you ladies. I welcome any help with motivation and I'll contribute as well. 

 

I have 8 more pounds to lose. Doesn't sound like much, but it's been difficult. Then,  I'll need to work at keeping it off.

I am in too!!! frustrating morning - Thursday became a one-fer (199.6 but
I did it) - then this morning 203 lbs. I know it will go back down but
still frustrating!!!! Celebrated a friends birthday Friday night and
back at it I go.

I had lost a fair bit of weight with my FitBit when I had moved to Austria in 2011 mainly because we had to walk everywhere because we had no car. Since coming home to the States, I put back on 40 pounds of it and now am finding it hard to lose any more. It's pretty frustrating because so far, I'm not on any medication and at 58, I'd like to keep it that way. This time though, my weight has caused a slight rise in my B/P that my doctor wants to medicate and he gave me 6 months to bring down my weight and B/P naturally.

So, I too need all the help I can get. Thanks!

We have had fitbits for a number of years and I love mine. It helps keep me mindful of my need to keep moving in spite of my busy schedule. Let's keep in touch and work together to keep moving too. Have a great day! Cheryl

Try allowing for a healthy snack in your food plan and make sure that you have portion controlled, high protein, low sugar snacks to choose from ( premeadured if that's an issue for you). Drink lots of water too!
