ANSWERED

bit of humor, but actually need an answer too.  So I've been sick all day and everytime I put anything in my stomach it comes back out.  Do I count those calories I ate?

Hope you feel better soon, but I would agree, the calories don't really count.

Most of the nutrient  absorption is done as the food passes through the small intestines, that is the purpose of the small intestine. The stomach just mixes everything up, adds acid and enzymes to start the breakdown and then passes it on  to the small intestines. The large intestines are mostly about water reclamation prior to evactuation of what is left over.
