There have been topics posted since 2016 requesting a pregnancy option for female health. Many say go vote for it to be added and Fitbit might add that option... Those posts are 3+ years old. Even recent posts about it just have mods saying to click on the FAQ and see how features are chosen. Why is such an oversight continuing? If I had known that my Fitbit wouldn't have valid information about my cycle, BMI, and caloric needs once I became pregnant, I would have chosen a different smart watch. Are there any plans to add this feature before my fetus is in preschool?

While you're not able to log a pregnancy, you can vote for the Add pregnancy for more accurate cycle prediction in Female Health Tracking idea and add your comments. You can read the FAQ to better understand how that board works.
We're constantly striving to improve Fitbit products and services, and we very much appreciate all of the input we receive from our customers.
You can choose whether to show period and fertility predictions and receive notifications by doing the following:

2. Tap the gear icon.
3. Adjust your female health settings as needed.

I completely agree with you! Also, it shouldn't be "up to a vote" or "when they get around to it." This should have been marked a mandatory fix the moment this glaring oversight was pointed out. I feel insulted by Fitbit to included women's health but to exclude (and obviously at this point they're purposefully excluding it) pregnant women's health on their app. If I would have known this prior to my purchase, I would have certainly bought a different health/fitness tracker.

I completely agree with the other concerned women. It is extremely insulting we can not indicate we are pregnant. The tracking has been great but it shocking that this has not been added. I am seeing posts back to 2018 and heard people talk about 2016, talk about a lack of caring about women’s health, just shear disrespect. How do you ignore something for 3 to 5 plus years?
The options already exist, so add ‘positive pregnancy test’, ‘negative test’, ‘miscarriage’, or other reasons for not being pregnant. I can see then in setting to have a toggle that I hit for “pregnant” and then it turn it off when I deliver or miscarry.
I don’t want to throw around miscarriage like it is nothing but 1 in 4 woman miscarry so it is huge hurdle to having a successful pregnancy. And tracking is important, hard but important.
Just do better! Until this is added, you are failing woman.

Wow - it is so embarrassing for FitBit that they haven't made any movement on this since 2018 or earlier?? Like, do they really not care about women enough? What is the point of tracking fertility window and OPKs if you can't also track a pregnancy??? I got my fitbit specifically to track my pre-natal health - especially heartrate, steps, activity and weight. I am pretty upset now, very disappointed. Considering returning and just tracking through other methods. So frustrating.

Hi Marre,
I have been voting a few times now. It does not seem to make much of a difference over the years. It is extremely frustrating keep hearing from fitbit my heart rate is not as fit as it was, while it is perfect for pregnancy (yes a bit faster). It is extremely frustrating not to be able to track pregnancy, and get reminders about me gaining weight. Yes.. I can turn everything off, but that makes my fitbit a watch. I have nice watches.
Maybe read ‘invisible women’ about gender bias in a world designed by man.

I got pregnant in late 2019. Lost our baby at 5 months in 2020. Got pregnant again quite recently, and the most panic-inducing thing so far is that "fitbit predicts your period will start today" notification. Well - HOPEFULLY, IT DOESN'T. I can't make it stop telling me this once a week, even though I have asked the app to stop tracking it. Its completely RIDICULOUS to me that this feature hasn't been added when it's been asked for, and commented on SINCE 2014. It cannot POSSIBLY be that difficult to add a setting for this. Other brands have been doing this for years. Its a basic element of female reproductive health, and is really upsetting its hasn't been added to this platform yet. Either do it, or don't - but take away the period tracking altogether if you aren't going to make right by your female customers. Based on how wildly inaccurate the app is all the way around for tracking women's health, I'm assuming it wasn't designed BY women in the first place at this point.

Couldn’t agree with you more! I purchased my Fitbit to improve my health and lower my weight before conceiving and then to continue a healthier journey through pregnancy and had I have known there was no pregnancy settings I wouldn’t have bothered to buy it! Seems that the app is missing a massive part of women’s health out! Such a stupid oversight considering it’s a well known fact that women have the babies 🤦:female_sign:

This is a scripted answer and doesn’t address the issue at all. Why not just come out and say it? Advising pregnant women opens Fitbit up to too much liability. That’s why they avoid the question like the plague. Money.

Money. It’s too much of a liability to advise pregnant women. There’s a morning after pill option though! Maybe just skip the pregnancy and keep working out??
