I just got my Fitbit Zip today. So far, I'm loving it. I am a little nervous that I might lose it, even my dad had said, "it's something that can be easily lost."

As I was thinking of getting a fitbit I got a Force from ebay and it was definately worth it, it's sort of like an extra push and it helps that you can then see how badly you are doing on the display too (hey, if i was doing great i wouldn't have needed one lol)
The Foods is a bit dissapointing tho, US only? Also when i did search on it it was terrible, White Coffee .. 5 calories? give me a break. Or is a decent food database premium? As in one like MFP's

I just bought my FitBit this morning. I wanted something a lot more accurate than MyFitnessPal or what the amount on the treadmill gives me. I like it so far. I didn't even know I burn calories in my sleep until I was setting it up.

Hi Fitbit Family,
I'm a newbie. Just used my Fitbit Zip today while jogging/walking. Fitbit Zip motivated me to go on and do this workout regularly.
Just drop by to say Hi to you people.
Thank you Fitbit.
Happy Fitbit Day!!!

Hey,
Got my fitbit flex 3 days ago, love it! I have to say though, it's making me feel bad I have a desk job and that my main hobby is lying in bed watching TV. I think I need to brave the cold and the rain and go for a walk. Hope to get to know some of you on the forum (none of my friends at fitbitters - is that the correct name?).

that is the point of Fitbit....to make you aware of your steps. I agree about watching TV, sad to say, Suggestion....maybe invest in an eliptical, or treadmill, or just try to go for a walk. the fitbit will motivate you, trust me. good luck

Welcome, I started using the fitbit in November and have had great success. I didnt even know about the forums till today! Main deal for me each day is to get up and get out. If I allow myself to have the chance to second guess I end up going back to sleep or finding something in the news that needed my attention so much more.
Good Luck and congrats!

I have my goal set just set at 2000 steps I think (I rarely leave the house so 2000 is actually a target) after a bit that'll be increased .. so on and so forth, hopefully the tireshop i'm hauling about will close down lol

Got my flex last week and just got set up and online yesterday. Looking forward to getting rid of unwanted pounds and picking up energy and health. Am also juicing 2 meals a day during the week and eating healthfully the dinner meal. Weekends, of course are a little different and we do sometimes go out to eat. Anyone who would like to have some inspiration might want to find Fat, Sick and Dead, a movie by Joe Cross. There are places you can watch for free, Hulu for one. I bought the DVD after watching the move the first time as there is additional info not included in the movie itself. I was motivated before, but inspired after the watch.
Downloaded my fitness pal app, and will try to learn how to use it too!
Cheers everyone, and good health! Patti
