Hi everyone!

@ThomasbB, I'm sorry to hear about your toe and I'm glad that your walking shoes are the best support for it. I hope you recover soon!

It's nice seeing new faces around @SeraDee@Connielu and @lynnedavies1156

@SeraDee, swimming is great. I really like it because it's a low impact exercise and you work your whole body. I hope you catch up soon. You can find good friends for challenges here.

@Connielu, bienvenida. I get cravings for sweets in the afternoons...

@lynnedavies1156, as @Connielu mentioned, one day at the time is the key. We all have those days but you can reach your goals.

Hi LivFitbit, Friday, 9 days ago, I was averaging 29,000+ steps/ day. Last Saturday I fractured my 4th left toe,?(kicked a rear foot of a bed.) and am now recuperating.?It will take approximately 6 weeks to heal. Then, I will sure, be back. So, whatever you do with my step count is fine.

But,  I will be planning to return bymid-September

Thank you, AndreaFitbit. I will be walking again by the end of August…

Hi LizFitbit,

I want to thank you and the other administrators for restoring what was obviously an oversight last night at midnight.

One of my friends ( who also is a Walker) totals were switched out this morning. I noticed right away that you and your team caught it and restored the proper totals into their rightful place…

SO…KUDOS TO YOU ALL…

thanks a million 🤓

Thank you for the opportunity to “BLOG.” (Sounds like it could be a new flavor of ice cream

) On a serious note, though, I start my day with a “Grain cereal Wight granola, almonds, and raisins. If it’s early enough, I Doo my best to get 3-5 miles in by noon. Here in Northern Virginia, the humidity levels are very high at times. Combined with the temperature and the heat index, I wait until almost sunset to go back out I shoot for 5 more miles. Then, between 8 and 9 PM, I’ll take my 3rd walk, trusting to get the final 10,000 steps in before midnight.

To my mind, walking cannot be outdone:

Jogging, after time, worked on the joints (knees, ankles, sometimes hips, pelvis)

Running is out of the question for me, at least. The pounding, from the feet through the lumbar spine will definitely take its toll…PERMANENTLY.

So, while it takes longer to walk, though I end up doing “Cardios” everyday. My doctor’s evaluation early this year said my “Statins” were reducing!!!

AndreaFitbit_5-1626726057030.png

So, I was burning fat, calories, losing weight all at the same time. ( 17 lbs. since I started with my Fitbit.

It impacted, for the better, my cardiovascular system, Walking does not tire me out. Rather, it provides more energy, as the weight drops off, my sleep is much better; only need about 6 1/2 hours per night.

ok, these are the things which motivate me.

I want to see all 4 of my grandchildren graduate from, at least high school, possibly one or two from College?

These are the things which motivate this walker

I live in Johns Island, SC and my current health/fitness goal is to get to 160 lbs. and stay there. I enjoy walking, that include my 5 dogs and on the beach if I can get to it. I like to get in my above ground pool and ride the bike with my hubby. My motivation is to see my great grandchildren grow up and make it to the age of 80. Right now I am 67 (actually 13) which means I can have fun getting into trouble. My gulity pleasure is going into waiting rooms with older ladies with short shorts and tee shirt and not look like them.

  4. What motivates you?  Progress, I know we all plateau and have a hard time starting but after quitting tobacco cold turkey I'm sure I've got this too.

Hello, fellow humans. I am Ava. I am from Shreveport, Louisiana. I am 34 years old and WOW that hits hard when you read that out to yourself 😭 My only fitness goal or goal of any kind at the moment is just to stay alive. I ordered my fitbit for the heart stuffs and the sleep stuffs and whatnot. I suffer from CPTSD, extreme panic attacks and severe depression that is medication resistant. I am about to try a couple of pretty new, invasive forms of therapy pretty soon, and I am wanting to keep track of my overall health stuff that the fitbit provides starting now and see what happens when I begin and finish these therapies. What motivates me is my 11 year old son. I would not be alive today if not for him. I'm ready to get back to living a real life and enjoying it. When things start to get better, I'll be setting some real fitness goals and that is exciting to think about. I am 5'4 and weigh about 100 right now. Too thin and insanely out of shape. Can't wait to get on here and update with good news and real goals!

And my guilty pleasure is YouTube or laying in bed with my husband, eating snacks and watching trash tv YojanaFitbit_0-1627101092429.png
