Greetings all, brand new to this, got my Inspire HR about 2 weeks ago and only joined premium yesterday. 51 year old male, unfit, overweight and diagnosed with fibromyalgia 16 years ago. Looking for friends for challenges who understand that there may be periods of inactivity on my part due to not feeling good.

Welcome to our community @Raider8623. It's nice to see you here. 😀
I'm glad that you have set goals to help fibro attacks be milder. I totally understand the periods of inactivity and can add you to the challenges I make sometimes. Pushes from friends help a lot.
Have fun and enjoy your Inspire HR, it can help you with your goals.

Good Evening All..
I am new to the Fitbit Community. I'm from the Golden State. My health goals include increasing my weekly cardio and incorporating stretching in my daily routine. I stay healthy, balanced, and fit by being adventurous and loving my fruits and veggies (oh and I drink lots of herbal tea, from Rooibos to Mint tea.) I am self-motivated. My guilty pleasures? None- I feel zero guilt when I indulge in sweets, because life is too short to feel guilty about a scrumptious treat, but instead I savor the sweetness, the flavor, the texture and simply enjoy whatever it is that gives me pleasure. Try it!

I like your thought about the guilty pleasures. 😀 You're right, life is too short to feel guilty about a treat.

Welcome to the Fitbit Community @BWGrace. Thanks for sharing your actual situation, Covid has brought different challenges for all of us. I didn't gain weigh but I don't walk as I used to and need the exercise.
I start challenges and can add you, I understand that you won't be able to walk the same every day. I try adding friends that don't walk that much in order to create the willing to improve and not to get disappointed (I have friends that walk 25k steps daily when my goal is now 3K).
Your profile picture says that you love arts and creativity.
Thanks for being part of our community!

Hi Andrea! Yes plse add me to your friends group.I really really need encouragement to get going and to be consistent despite my health issues.Where would i go to see comments or to comment on others? Yes, i did intro myself but not sure where to find likeminded pple willing to buddy. It would also be gr8 to connect with pple in my city ottawa and i have no personal friends on fitbit.Anyways..today i hit 5 min more of walking and my avge HR was a few beats higher. Its hard to go high because my heart medication wants it to stay lower otherwise my resting hr is 100.
Thx.hope your day is going well
Namaste
Barb

Thanks for getting back to us @BWGrace. Yes, I'll add you to my challenges. 😀 I sent you a friend request in order to be able to add you.
Little by little you'll improve your HR and resting HR with some exercise and don't forget a healthy diet.
You can introduce yourself on this thread and add that you would like meeting friends from your city.
Welcome aboard @youngarney! You can tell us more about you replying to the questions above.
Keep on visiting the forums.
