Hi all!
A couple of days ago I got a Fitbit Versa 2 as a present for my birthday! Great present, good looking & very helpful during my workouts.
I do have been running with Runtastic pro for the last five years and I don’t see any way to connect this app to my Fitbit device.
I’m now running with the Fitbit Exercice app but must say I miss many functionalities from my Runtastic App.
- There is no countdown (10>0) when you click start. Clicking start on Fitbit means starting your exercice immediately.
- There is no way to set an and goal in the Fitbit app (this do is possible in Runtastic) This means that if you start your activity from there, you won’t have any voice cues telling you you’re ‘halfway’ or at ‘3/4’ of your workout.
Some suggestions & defaults I’ve noticed so far:
- I start my exercice in the app to set my music (Spotify) and set my voice cues. After a couple of minutes, my Fitbit takes over and in this way I can manage everything on my wrist during running. If I finalize the training on my Fitbit, the exercice still keeps going on mu Fitbit app.
- You can not personalize the apps on the Fitbit (change order of the apps & change the ones you want to have easy access to)
- Alarms don’t sync with the ones on your phone
- Listening to music during your exercise is quite a thing. Fitbit forces you to go to local music on your phone while I want to select music in Spotify. When I open Spotify in the back, my Fitbit app doesn’t show the song that is playing. It keeps on showing only local music. I have to start running and after some time, Spotify does get recognized on my watch.
Hope there will be a Runtastic integration soon. Missing my running app already! Also miss my history of running on my new Fitbit App.
Thanks.

I understand your problem, mine is somewhat similar, though it is more about my fitbit not accurately tracking my exercise than having to sync. I would just say to try to log both at once, and eventually your fitbit will have a good log of your running.
Maybe time wise, just start your 10>0 timer, and then start your fitbit right away, or right as it starts, so you can stop them in a more accurate fasion.

+1 for Runtastic integration.
Duriing running, Runtastic reminds me some importance marks, e.g. heart rate zone changing, stat/status at every mile marks, etc.
Look like there is a plan to the integration. Could FB please inform us the updated status of the plan?
