Hi everyone, it's great to see so many different hobbies here. As @SunsetRunner mentioned, some of my favorite activities involve reading classics and watching Harry Potter or The Lord of the Rings. ![]()
However, although I don't see this as a hobby, I think that I spend most of my free time doing voluntary work in local communities, and it's something I really really enjoy and has changed my life.
I have been retired for a year and floundered a bit to recreate me! I am enjoying being able to focus on a healthier lifestyle - I see that as a hobby and I have become very passionate about photography and creating digital scrapbooks. I travel quite a bit and enjoy cooking, especially new foods I try traveling!

My main extracurricular activity is less of a hobby, more of a 'side hustle' - making rock music for kids and families. My wife, daughter and I do this together. We call it the 'Jungle Gym Jam' (hence my handle). We have 2 albums and put on about 10 shows a year. I find that my Fitbit helps me build up plenty of strength and cardio fitness to put on those energetic stage shows as lead singer/guitarist.

Baking is great @LunaRaine! I've always found it difficult (I couldn't even bake brownies), but it's a very rewarding activity.
Best AnswerMy hobby is photography. I think that this is not only a hobby but also the meaning of life. When I read the answers under this topic, I saw a lot of people who are also engaged in photography. It is very beautiful. I propose to create a separate topic for such people where you can share tips and experiences.

Hi everybody, really glad to see you all here.
Wow, you guys have really awesome hobbies. I almost feel bad about my previous hobby, I used to love watching movies on my weekends. I spent lots of hours in from of the TV trying to see the latest movie of the week, most of them romantic and funny ones. I know, it was a good hobby! But I think it's best, if you enjoy life outside the house or the movie theater too. So, recently I've been volunteering for my local church and it has brought a lot of joy in my heart. We do different activities to help less fortunate people that are having a difficult time on their lives.
Hope you keep sharing your hobbies! Please add some pictures of our hobbies, next time I hope to post a picture too.

These are the hobbies I currently have, in no particular order:
1. Self-education: I like learning programming especially, I've built my own site using CSS3, HTML5 and the newest version of Javascript and I plan on learning other programming languages. I'm also trying to learn Spanish and plan on learning other languages eventually. I am reviewing Math through Khan Academy as well.
2. Reading: Mostly non-fiction and a few autobiographies.
3. Gaming: I have a large library of PS4 games, but don't actually get a change to play them that much.
These are hobbies I'd like to get into, aspirational hobbies I guess you could call them:
1. Photography: I already have a DSLR and several lenses but haven't taken the time to photograph very much.
2. Blogging: I have the site I already built, but it needs a lot more posts on it to really call it a blog.
3. Running & Exercising: I have bowflex free-weights but they have been collecting dust, lol.
4. Meditation: Only because of all the purported benefits it confers.
5. Programming: I would like to eventually contribute to open source projects.
