Who has the Most Lifetime Fitbit Steps?

I thought it might be fun to see some of the "Total Lifetime Steps" figures from a few of the more diehard Fitbiters out there. I've been using my Fitbit Ultra for just about 2 years, and noticed that I've now gone past the 5 Million Steps mark (I'm currently at: 5,018,549 steps).

While 5 Million Steps may seem like a lot to some newer Fitbit users, I can tell you for sure, that my wife easily has me beat, since she now has logged over 7½ Million Steps (and we both started using our fitbits right around the same time).

But of course, I'm sure we could actually see some really amazing high figures if some of the more agressive Fitbit users would like to share their current Lifetime totals with the community.

@joefrosty For the moment, my targets have had to shrink significantly from less than a year ago, but I'm hopeful that I will soon turn the (medical) corner, with an important specialist appointment in nine days' time.

I have a dog who loves his walks, so I hope to be aiming for a minimum of 6M steps next year and 30K floors.

Let's hope you are surgery free next year.🙂

Not bad at all @joefrosty. I’m not far behind at 63. But I’ve had a Fitbit since 2011, so in Fitbit years I’m a real old timer.

Well, I checked today and I was at 100.6M steps. Had to figure out when I hit 100M. Turned out it was on Jan. 24, 2024, which is about two months shy of my 13-year Fitbitversary in a few weeks (March 28). I'm gonna need a new pair of shoes!

@Heather-S @yu4517 — Thanks. There was no Fitbit pin or gold watch or even a T-shirt, but it’s cool that I can access the data and figure out when, to the day, it happened. 🏆 There - I just got a trophy 😀

Well done..
My step count is nowhere near yours, and I joined with the Fitbit clip on in September 2011.. Similar time as you...
Even will physical health issues at 84, Genetic Spinal Stenosis, my physio has me using the bike option in my Fitbit to measure distance on my Rollator Walker.. He was concerned I might lose it, tucked into my sock to record steps and heart.. BUT.... we are moving...

Again well done and to Peter @yu4517 amazing also, and we all joined on 2011.

So good to hear from you Collin @Colinm39. You've been an inspiration over the years and I'm not at all surprised you've got a Fitbit in your sock. I hope the physio is helping and keep on moving.

I am close to 72 years old . I started with my first fitbit October 2016. I have 58,000,000 steps . I have been retired since 2011. My body is starting to show some wear and tear. Used to walk 12 kms on our first walk of the day,  a little less these days. We like to walk on trails in the woods , mostly cycling trails and cross country ski trails in the winter . I also bike around 3500 kms each year, biking is easier on my body. Hope body holds out for another 5 years.

@freedom65 -- That's quite a few steps. We don't last forever, but I think that daily walking/biking helps a lot. Keep it up.

I got my first Fitbit in 2010 and have been aiming at 20,000 steps/day. (I'm 81 years old and retired so it's easy). I have more than 86 million steps. I'm healthy and have decided to aim for 100 million steps

When I got the Fitbit people were saying that 10,000 steps were enough but I was a scientist and determined that I needed 20,000 steps/day. (I was retired when I got it so it was easy. I still had a life) Now I've hit my goals and walk or run just to stay in shape. I'll make another decision about continuing when I hit 100 million steps. It helps that I'm a "morning person" and I have about 3 miles at 7AM after walking the dog.

I feel that people with Fitbits should have a health goal to keep them interested.

@BruceM - that's super fantastic!! I'm 65 and have had my FitBit since
2014, just hit 70 million - and like you I intend on rolling past 100
million at some point. Keep up the good work!!!

Agree with you that 10k a day really isn't enough - most people could
really benefit from doing more!

I am at over 43 million steps. I've been wearing my fitbit for 10 years and I feel weird without it now. 😅

Hi

Just past 168 million or 93,888 miles.

since 21 October 2011, 4725 days

Hope to reach 100,000 miles, at the current rate that will be end of July 2025, then a may retire, I will be 84!

My other option is to get to 200 Million steps, but that will take another 900 (+/-) days by which time I will be 86 and could be too much of an ask!.
