Did you mean:

You know you're a Fitbit addict when...

  • You pace the house to get to a particular figure before going to bed
  • You sit down when recharging as you don't want to 'waste' any steps
  • You park further away from the shops to gain extra steps

I know I'm a Fitbit addict when I just spent an hour running around my boyfriends apartment because his treadmill broke and it's too cold outside (I'm a wimp).

....when it's New Year's eve, and you're checking board updates on Fitbit for about the 75th time for the day!  Then you think, ....my New Year's resolution is to check at least 100 times per day. Smiley Wink

  • When you carry your groceries to the house from car one by one to make sure you get the most steps possible
  • Putting the washing away one item at a time and walking while folding the washing
  • Mowing the lawns on a higher level than usual to require a cut sooner, overlapping each line, and empting the catcher more often than needed

I laughed and cried when I found this topic I do this too. Glad others are enjoying FitBit too.

Ha! I do all of these things from the first post. I also keep wearing mine even though I seem to be allergic to something in it.

@DJC_63 im sorry to hear about your rash, if this has just recently started then i would think it is from contaminants getting cought under the skin. Please read this article and try cleaning with one of the proven to be mild cleansers for sensitive skin, like Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser or Aquanil, then rinse thoroughly, and dry well.

Ask the pharmacist about the rash, they'll be able to tell uou if an OTC will work , or if you should get a perscription

Also i would suggest that after cleaning the Fitbit then switch arms while the contact dermatitis clears up.

Disclaimer, im not in the medical field,  but have been dealing with contact dermititus for the last 60 years. While they say it is not curable i have found it is controllable with only having one short period of breakouts every 5 - 10 years. The key is to identify and avoid the irritant.   For the 'fitbit rash' it most likely is dirt, sweat, pollen, mosture, etc, and with mosture comes bacteria. Now add that we want to track everything so the Fitbit stays on the arm 24/7,  preventing the location from drying out.

If there is a 12 step program for addicts, I don't want to even know about it. This is one addiction that I pray will stay in my life forever.

When you do 13+ steps in a 12 step program, because who the heck wants to stop at 12 steps?
