You know you're a Fitbit addict when...

  • You pace the house to get to a particular figure before going to bed
  • You sit down when recharging as you don't want to 'waste' any steps
  • You park further away from the shops to gain extra steps

Your force wrist band breaks and you have it duct taped together. 🙂

you feel that the fitbit has taken over the role of closest friend and BBF and don't want to go anywhere without her.  Not even the shower.  Not even swimming.  Not even while she charges.

This is too funny! I thought I was being a little crazy at finding ways to get my steps in. But from this discussion looks like I'm right on track!!! 🙂

Being a pug owner myself I completely understand.  My low energy walk with my pug I do track and then I have to go for my high energy walk without my darling.  I've thought of buying a pram!!

Someone mentioned putting the fitbit flex on your ankle.  I tried it and it works so no more pushing carts with one hand.  I tie it together with elastic (so can slip over foot) and tuck in my sock for extra security) I am definitely a fitbit addict.

* You calibrate your stride length to make sure that is extra accurate

* You like to tell people about it, why it's good and beneficial to your life.

* You like to pretend you're in Bladerunner when you tap it to tell it you're going to sleep

* You break any conversation with a little YIPPEE! when the wristband vibrates telling you that you have met your goal for the day.

Reading the replies to your thread I just realized how lucky I am that I have a house with stairs, a treadmill, and a dog I can walk.  🙂

His article is what inspired me to get my Fitbit One.  I have a birthday coming this month, so I dropped a fat hint to my son and he bought my Fitbit for me and gave it to me early so I could start immediately!

My husband wants to borrow mine for a day so he can count his steps, but I don't want to miss a day.  He should get his own, shouldn't he!?

It's funny when you think that your spouse dropping you off and leaving you to walk 1.5 miles home would be grounds for divorce in many marriages!

This worries me.  I wore my Fitbit one on my wrist when I was on the treadmill for an hour today.  When I use my treadmill I rest my hands on handlebars, is that messing with my step count?  Because I was only credited with 40 minutes of workout when I sync'd.  I don't think of uncounted steps as "wasted", though, because the whole point is to get the steps, not so much to count them all.

also have my force tape together but used black electric tape.  Can't live without my force.
