I started using my fitbit in January and I made a vow by my 55th birthday I am going to walk 25,000 steps in one day. Well I have eight days until my birthday and I woke up today saying today is the day....Im totally addicted today....Ive walked 21,400 steps so far...almost there....I am tired, hot, sticky but I am not stopping.....Im taking a break and trying to figure out how to get my dashboard onto my facebook wall. I am soooo frustrated.....I have seen other people do it and I cant figure out how. I downloaded the fitbit app on my iphone thinking it may be easier to access facebook that way but Im such a computer illiterate....If anyone knows how to do this I would appreciate it as I would love to share my successful addiction mission to my friends with proof I DID IT!!!!!................................50PLUSSTICKINGTOGETHER.COM

Hey Vicki,
I do the same! I used to fuss when my hubby parks farther away from the stores and I had to walk. Now I ask him to park further away; today he said, that's quite a welcome change!
I deliberately make multiple trips to the recycle bin outside, and upstairs when I need something. I used to ask my hubby or daugther to get things for me especially when I am tired or don't feel like doing it myself. Now I do all the work myself.
I got my fitbit on May 28, 2014 and I have lost 4 lbs so far. I am sooooooooo happy. Yeah me.

I love, love, LOVE this discussion AND love my Fitbit! I guess I'm an addict too because I do a lot of these things. With so many pages on this discussion I don't have time to read them all tonight, but I WILL find time to come back. I'm getting my inspiration and my laughs for the day!!!
I've started a train with my twin 2-year-old grandsons to get extra steps and they loved it! I've walked the perimeter of my large lawn waiting for my doggie to do her business. I've done the dancing around while brushing my teeth. I've even done laps in Walmart waiting for a prescription to be ready for pickup. Lots of opportunities.
I found it funny today... My hubby doesn't have a Fitbit or tracker of any kind and says he doesn't want one. But when I reached my daily goal today and was excited, he said "I wonder if I got that many steps in today." Kinda like he was jealous... very funny. Maybe he will want to be an addict too after all! 😉

You're half a mile away from reaching your goal of walking 5 miles/10,000 steps and you're dancing in your living room to reach the goal!

I do so many of these things already and I've only had mine for about a week I can't believe how attached I've become to it so quickly.
