Option to "Track your exercise" on the menu initially opens the window with a map, but quickly crashes the app, closing it. I have sent the "report problem" to fitbit. I have closed all other open apps. I have uninstalled the fitbit app and reinstalled. I have rebooted the phone (Galaxy Note 5)... none of these help.
Any suggestions? My fitbit has worked well for years, syncs well with MyFitnessPal, all other features working well.
Thanks for your help!!

Is your phone GPS-enabled?

Yes, and GPS was on. Oddly, in the last few days it has been working. Nothing different, no updates, but it's not crashing... I'll take it! I dont' think I'm getting accurate calorie estimates for my runs or walks, but hope that improves when I upgrade to the Blaze once it's released. Right now I don't have HR monitoring.

And why is it @DWpedsRN that you're using your phone GPS tracking functionality to track your walks/runs if you are wearing your Fitbit One tracker? Why not let your One do its thing and sync; as opposed to overlaying all its good data with a GPS-generated record? You would indeed get better caloric burn metrics if you allowed the data from your One to flow through to your account and avoid overriding it with a GPS record.

The One doesn't have GPS capacity, so I'm wondering what good data am I overlaying? I'm not using a separate app, but the option to 'track my exercise' within the FitBit app.

HI @DWpedsRN. Yeah, perhaps I misunderstood your initial post. When you click on "Track my exercise" and a map opens up, this is meant for those who have a GPS-enabled Fitbit tracker; or those who want to use their phone's GPS tracking functionality to track their walk. People usually use this function in instances where they forgot to wear their tracker.
You don't need to tap "Track my exercise" to track your steps. All you need to do is wear your One and sync. If you want to capture a particular jog/walk workout at some point during the day, you can use the button on the side of your Fitbit One tracker to start and stop the timer at the start and end your activity. In doing so, that particular workout will show separately on your activity log.
If you were to wear your One and use your phone GPS tracking functionality to track your steps as well, the latter, once you sync, would overlay the actual data that your One recorded - which was the context of my earlier post.
Hope this helps. Have a nice day.
