Battery for Fitbit One not holding charge

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

My Fitbit One is not holding a charge for more than a few minutes. It drains completely and when I recharge it takes one or two minutes (used to take longer) but also drains within a few minutes of using it. The unit is probably two years old.

Two years it could be end of life.

But try these steps and see if it helps

Please clean the contacts
http://help.fitbit.com/articles/en_US/Help_article/My-tracker-s-battery-isn-t-charging/?q=not+chargi...

Then Do a Restart

Also See this thread for charging best practices. If you are not charging it correctly you could be damaging the battery

If that does not help contact support. Its out of warranty but they will offer a discount for another model

Mine has been acting strangely regarding holding a charge the last week. It was fine prior to that and now it dies in a day or two. I see that this has been an issue with increasing reports of the battery issue for some time now. I don't do anything differently than when I had the first fitbit. The only factors that would be different would be with manufacturing and software. Troubleshooting suggestions unless are specific to newer versions do not seem like they would be helpful.Just annoyed that something that worked well previously now does not.

It turns out my FB One is almost 3 years old so it's probably time to get a new one. I received support from FB and since the unit is old, I received a 25% discount on a new device. Only problem is - I don't like the wrist models and the other two non-wrist ones have very limited features.

Just an FYI for anyone reading this thread...

The fitbit Alta and Alta HR come out of the wristband and can be worn just like the Fitbit One.

You can purchase the clip on holders on Amazon

@cmcdar I hope you're doing well! Thanks for sharing the experience you are having with other Fitbit devices on this thread.

I'd recommend any user who would like to see any alternatives for Fitbit One to go to this thread which is about that topic. You should find helpful information there as well.

See you around!
