Calorie discrepancy between Android App and Website Dashboard

I keep having situations where the app and dashboard are in full agreement on all numbers except calories remaining in a daily budget.  The situation here is for Sunday the 17th, subsequent days seem to be in full agreement on all numbers.  I've seen this happen where it would eventually synch up a day or so later, but so far, not this time.

The app is showing that I'm 1,041 calories over budget for Sunday.  App also shows I ate 3,276 calories in (which is correct based on what I keyed into MFP), and exerted out 3,258.

The dashboard is showing that I'm 268 calories over budget for Sunday.  Dashboard also shows I ate 3,276 (of allowed 3008) and exerted out 3,258.  I guess it's saying here that my calories in minus my intake goal (which is reduced to account for weight loss) is 268 over budget after considering my calories burned during my walks.  I'm ok with that...

Why aren't the dashboard and the app in agreement?  Why doens't my app say 268 over budget instead of 1,041 over budget?

I've tried logging out of the app, logging back in.  It's been days and it won't work itself out.  Any ideas?

Welcome to the Fitbit Community @phelper, hope you're doing great today! Try doing the following:

  • Log out of your Fitbit App
  • Force quit the App
  • Turn off the Bluetooth
  • Shut off your phone and turn it on after 1-2 minutes
  • Turn on the Bluetooth
  • Log back into your Fibit App

Let me know if this corrects the issue with the discrepancy!
