My computers no long recognizes the dongle. It's nearly 3 years old. Does it wear out? Can I get a new one that will sync with my One?
Moderator Edit: Updated Subject for Clarity
Best AnswerTried multiple ports, and 2 other computers.
Ordered a new one. I was worried I would need a whole new set.
Thanks.

@DaveCoggins Welcome to the Fitbit family! Thanks for sharing the situation you are experiencing with your dongle. Thanks for trying to plug it in into different ports and different computers in order to sort this out.
I'm glad you ordered a new one. You will be back on track really soon!
@SunsetRunner Thanks for sharing your help on this thread.

Best AnswerIn between my ordering the new dongle and receiving it, the first one started working again, no explanation. As it turns out, my daughter lost hers a while ago and stopped tracking. She can use the new one. All good. Thanks.

@DaveCoggins Thanks for your reply and for sharing those details. It's great to read that the original dongle started to work again.
You could keep the new one as a replacement. I'm glad your daughter will get back on track too with the new dongle.
Additionally, have you checked the Feature Suggestions Board? If you have any ideas for future features you would like to see on your Fitbit device, this is the best place for asking. Feel free to search for existing feature suggestions or add you own original one!
See you around! ![]()
Best AnswerFor win 10 if your computer has built on Bluetooth. The dongle is not needed.
@SunsetRunner your dongle can not recognize the tracker.
Your computer should not be able to connect to the tracker.
It is your Fitbit App that sets up the tracker?
Best AnswerYes, that is correct @SunsetRunner - for setting up the tracker.
Currently trackers will, once setup, will sync through a windows or Mac based computer.
You will not have access to any of the advanced data
Best Answer@SunsetRunner I've gone several days at a time without using my mobile phone and only the Windows app. If you choose to do this too, the advanced data will be available historically when you use the website or app. My Windows10 app and my Fire Tablet Fitbit apps haven't been updated in forever, which is absolutely wonderful when the mobile app glitches, which, unfortunately, happens sometimes, so definitely a nice backup to have! Recently, the Windows10 app has been failing to show actual trackers and I suspect Fitbit is phasing it out as it's now impossible to add a device via Windows. Enjoying the Windows10 app is now a thing of the past. As cell data is your concern may I suggest only syncing when on a WiF network?
Best AnswerFitbit has never released a version for your Fire Tablet.
This version is several years old and Pete's over by a third party, and yes officially Fitbit no longer supports a win 10 pc.
A sync takes the data from the tracker then places this data into the cloud services.
From here any device with the fitbit app or a web vt tosser will be able to access the data from the latest sync.
