I have been a faithful Fitbit wearer for nearly 2 years. I've had problems syncing via my PCs ever since the version change a few weeks back. Last night I could not sync at all despite dozens of efforts after turning off all wi-fi enabled devices, rebooting my computer, reinstalling the app and trying to reset the One (which would not reset). I did everything I had read about and done in the past to get the sync to work and nothing helped so I finally broke down and contacted customer service. I got a man from El Salvador (Central America - REALLY????) who denied there was anything wrong and insisted there must be something wrong with my computer. He really wanted to just argue with me. He even suggested I take the dongle from work and bring it home to see if that would resolve the problem. (I usually have syncing problems at my work PC as well.) All he would focus on was that my Fitbit had synced just under an hour earlier, but refused to listen when I said I was in another location when it synced. I am really tired of outsourced employees passing the buck and blaming my otherwise totally functioning electronics. When are the tech people at Fitbit going to fix the bugs in their app? Perhaps this isn't the place, but I needed to rant somewhere.

I realize that electronics can wear out. But I find it interesting that SO many people suddenly started having problems syncing after the latest update from fitbit! I might have just shrugged and bought something new, if it weren't for that. People with BRAND NEW fitbits are having this trouble. I suggest that fitbit knows there is a serious problem with software, but are unwilling to do anything about it. I got this response from customer "service" after going back and forth a few times:
"We appreciate providing us the requested information and troubleshootiung steps you did with your Fitbit One.
Currently, your tracker is no longer covered by Fitbit's limited warranty. To help keep you in the Fitbit family and working towards your goals, we'd like to give you a 25% discount towards the purchase of another tracker."
So, I guess it's time to shop around for a device with better customer service! A shame for this company that started off so well and is now losing lots of customers over these issues. I'm out.
