Dashboard not saving data from my FItbit

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I have been using Fitbit One with Windows 10 & the dongle with no problems until June 3.  The dashboard recognizes my Fitbit and starts to update.  I can see the numbers for steps, stairs, calories, etc. changing, but the system does not keep the numbers and resets to zero.  I have tried everything suggested in this forum for sync issues, but it does not appear to be my device or computer that is the problem.

I'm having same problem.  Recently prompted to  'upgrade' fitbit app on my  PC -Window 10. (But I normally use the web-browser site when on PC)  As a result of this upgrade lost the old fitbit connect that used to reside in icon tray and so I'm trying to sync within the fitbit app that  seems to be it's replacement.

Is there a way to get back old fitbit connect?  Is that the problem?

Here's what happens :

-open  fitbit app (PC-windows 10)  then fitbit sync (double circular arrow icon)

 -message "connecting, syncing..."

-steps  on dashboard change from 8 steps to 447 (which matches my fitbit one device)

-steps  THEN CHANGE BACK to 8 steps  (after 1 second)

 - message: last synced 1:42 am -  (about 15 hours ago)

Web-Browser fitbit.com says last synced 15 hours ago.  web-browser steps do not change even for second.

There was a recent update to the app that appears to be buggy. I have a case opened up with Fitbit but haven't heard anything yet -- not surprising with it being the weekend. I first noticed the issue on Saturday night, but in reality I think the issue started when I updated the apps a day or two prior -- I just didn't notice.

If you need to pair because you have data that is getting old, I have noticed that you can delete the device from the app and then re-pair your Fitbit. This will result in one good sync that will make its way to the web dashboard, but after that it will be troubled again. But it works in a pinch (I have verified and this will work for a single sync on either mobile or desktop).

I will post when I hear from Fitbit support, and if anyone hears back sooner than I do please advise. Thanks!

Okay, so one of the Fitbit or system updates must have changed my
settings. Bluetooth was on. I am thinking you cannot have both Bluetooth
on and use the dongle, because when I turned the Bluetooth off, the Fitbit
was able to update and the Dashboard saved the data. I am not sure if I
could have kept the Bluetooth on and took out the dongle. I am not one for
rocking the boat now that it is no longer leaking, but if the issue should
return ...

That worked for me jlg.

The reverse - taking dongle out , turning bluetooth on - did not work.

Funny thing, before I did the switch I tried to sync once again and got a big error message

that said something like "both dongle and bluetooth cannot be 'on'" ...

Having the same problem also since Saturday, June 3.  The steps temporarily sync but disappear.  Saturday's steps shows 117, Sunday shows 0, and today it syncs at over 9,000 but then it disappears.

Thank you for your help

Open the Windows Store app and update the Fitbit app. There was an update today that rectified the similar issues I was experiencing. You may need to remove and add your device again to get the sync to get moving, but all has been good for me since the update earlier today.
