Finding Bluetooth address

Hi Fitbit folks! I seem to have lost my Fitbit One out on the street somewhere, and I've been walking around with a Bluetooth Finder app to find it. It's somewhere along a one mile route though, and the finder identified 7 Ones along the way. I'm sure some of them were in the pockets of people I walked past or whom live in the condos along the way. Is there a way to pull my device's Bluetooth address from the Fitbit Windows, iOS, or Android apps? They've all connected to my device at one point or another but I've been unable to find that info.

Thanks for any tips!
Best,

   ---Mark

Welcome to the Community @markdeloura! Currently, the only options that we have to find a lost Fitbit tracker are the following. There's no actual way to get the bluetooth address.

  • Check your dashboard to see the last time your tracker synced. If it synced recently, that means it's near your mobile device or computer.
  • Look near your laundry if you use a clip-on tracker. Many customers find that these trackers wind up in the dirty clothes pile.
  • If your tracker is connected with a mobile device, take that device to the area where you think you lost your tracker and try to sync it. If it syncs, you know the tracker is nearby. For more information about how to sync your tracker, see How do Fitbit trackers sync their data?
  • Try using a Bluetooth locator app to help you find your tracker. For iOS you can try LightBlue - Bluetooth Low Energy. For Android you can try Bluetooth Finder.

Hope this helps.

Thanks Silvia! Alas I think it is lost... No syncing here at home and no "One" devices show up in my Bluetooth Finder app. I walked the route I lost it on again last night with the bluetooth app running and didn't find any One devices at all, so I've given up. The previous evening there were 7 One devices showing up in the app but most likely they were in the pockets of other people I was walking past hahahha 🙂

Ah well, I've had that One since January 2013 so I suppose it was about time for me to lose it. Now I'll think about upgrading!

Thanks for your reply!

@markdeloura Wow, you've had your One since 2013, I've had it for that time too. I'm sorry to hear that you couldn't find it, most likely the ones that your app was showing were from other people. However, it's great that you're seeing the bright side of this situation and you're upgrading. You may want to check the compare page, this can help you clarifies any doubt about the new Fitbit trackers. 🙂

Hope you can buy another good tracker that can fit your needs and helps you reach your targets. Robot Happy

P.S. Don't forget to share with us which Fitbit you got.

You did not answer his question.  How do you find out what the Bluetooth address is so you know it's yours your seeing?  Please do NOT answer with that response from the help page.

Actually, the question was answered – there isn't a way to find out the Bluetooth address at this point in time.
