My fitbit one is resetting my daily steps back to zero after using the activity timer. Is this an error on my end and is there a way to prevent this from happening and getting my daily steps acounted for again?
Thank you!

Hi @SMoore619 and welcome to the community. I'm not sure what you mean exactly, but let me talk around the subject and see if I'm aiming in the right direction.
Using the timer for me to record a specific walk/jog workout means pressing and briefly holding the button on my Fitbit One tracker to start the timer at the beginning of my workout; and doing the same to stop the timer when I'm done.
Once you sync, that specific timed record will be segmented out of your daily steps and shop up as a separate entry on your Log - Activities page.
Does what I just described above reflect what you mean by "... using the activity timer..." and if not, please clarify. Using the activity timer the way I describe it earlier does not and should not reset your step metrics to zero.

Hi again @SMoore619.
"...it will reset my daily steps for the day..." Where? On the app or on the Fitbit One's screen?
What device are you using to look up your dashboard - a phone, a computer ...
When you use your Web browser to navigate to www.fitbit.com and sign-on to your account, the top left of the page should should show the time and date of your last successful sync - what is it? Is it current? Perhaps the data that you're looking at is out-dated - forcing a sync should bring everything up-to-date. I think!![]()

Hi again @SMoore619. My best advice then would be to get in touch with the support team and see what they can do about this. There is definitely something odd. Here is the link:

Hi @moriahpulver. Yes, the timer can be used to track inactivity (sleep mode) or movements (activity mode). I use the timer all the time when I do my regular walk/jog workouts, which causes those workouts to show separately on my Activities log. Since I usually do the same two or three routes, this allows me to readily gauge my performance improvements over time. Cheers!
