Fitbit tracks floors using atmospheric pressure, so sometimes it can be slightly off.

@Binascraps Welcome to the Fitbit Community! As @Collin1000 mentioned, your tracker measures floors using an altimeter, which calculates altitude based on atmospheric pressure. Please keep in mind that different pressure changes such as a gust of wind can occasionally cause your tracker's floor count to differ.
I hope this helps! Let me know if you have any questions.

A gust of wind indoors? My fitbit tracker was working fine for months but suddenly in the last couple of weeks the floors aren't being counted reliably (and yes, the change in altitude is at least 10 feet between floors in my house). Any other known causes for this?

I have had the same issue on a two or three days over the month or so. Walking from my car to the office building I work in is probably 100 to 150 steps and relatively flat. 99.9% of the time I do not get any floors but today, walking the same path, it gave me 5 floors. The last time this happened I did a restart and that seemed to take care of it. Going to try the same thing when I get home this evening.
I have convinced myself it's ok I'm getting them though, to make up for the flights I don't get when walking on an incline on the treadmill. LOL
I've had my "One" for not quite two years now so I'm wondering if it's time to replace.

My problem is the opposite of most. My One is tracking WAY too many floors. I walked 12 miles, fairly flat terrain, and it track 803 floors!!! Anybody have a clue on this one?

I'll try resetting the One to see if that helps. So far today, it's already counted 9 floors and I haven't done anything.
