Fitbit One Not Syncing

ANSWERED

My computer went to the shop and I had to get a new hard drive.  I have reinstalled the fitbit app, and the program recognizes me, and the dashboard says I have not synced since September 18.  (I know that!) I have put the doggle in the computer, but it is not syncing

What else can I do?

There a post here on the same topic. https://community.fitbit.com/t5/One/Fitbit-One-not-Syncing/m-p/2947751

And some info from the help pages here: https://help.fitbit.com/articles/en_US/Help_article/1186/

Here's the info from the above help page:

  1. Plug your charging cable into your computer.
  2. Plug your Fitbit One tracker into the charging cable, making sure that the gold contacts on your tracker align with the gold contacts in the inside of the charger.
  3. Hold down your tracker's button for 10-12 seconds.
  4. Remove your tracker from the charging cable and press its button until the screen turns on.

Your tracker should now work normally.

What steps do you have to do everyday to sort this out? Are those the restart steps?

Also, if possible, try these syncing troubleshooting steps when you experience this kind of trouble. Try them in the order given for best results.

Thanks for posting the steps here.  My Fitbit One's doggle is always plugged into my computer. There seems to be a glitch in the sync between One and the dashboard. I moved my laptop into the living room in case that was the problem. Still, for the last several weeks, it stops syncing towards the end of each week. I have not had this problem in the 5 years I have been using it.

Is there something I can do to help it sync many times a day?

@Basketweaver Welcome to the Fitbit family! Thanks for taking the time to post the experience you have had with your One. Thanks for trying to move the laptop in order to sort this out.

Have you tried changing the USB dongle to another plug? Did you tried all of the steps shown on the article?

If non of that works I'd recommend trying to sync using a compatible mobile device.

Keep me posted! Smiley Happy

This reboot works but I have to do it every time I need to sync to my phone. This is a new issue, in the last week.
