Fitbit One Shows Different Steps than Galaxy S6

Just posting out of curiosity -

I spent all last week on vacation at Walt Disney World in Orlando.  I wear my Fitbit One clipped to my bra strap and almost always have my cell phone in my pants pocket.  Every day last week my Fitbit and my cell phone gave me a different number of steps for the day.  (Which I would have expected)   The weird part is every day the fitbit was approximately 4,000 steps behind the phone.  some says slightly more and some days slightly less but always right around a 4,000 step difference.

I have a Galaxy S6 that uses the Samsung Health app to track steps.

Any ideas why?

@ezinger25 Thanks for joining the Fitbit family! Are you still experiencing this problem?

If you are not, it may be because a new version of the Fitbit app for Android devices was released on March 6, 2017 (version 2.44.1) and you have updated it.

If you keep experiencing this problem; please do the following:

  • Log out from the Fitbit app.
  • Restart your phone.
  • Log back in to the Fitbit app.
  • Restart your One.

Those steps should certainly help you out!

Keep me posted! Smiley Happy
