Running Distance Wrong Fitbit One

1. So lately every time I run on an indoor track the distance is way off. It's a 1/3 mile corkscrew track and when I run one and a half laps, my fitbit thinks I ran a mile! It used to measure correctly and then one day it miscalculated, but then it corrected itself. Then it started being wrong again. I even tried changing my stride length and restarting my fitbit. It's annoying because it messes up my mile count but not my step count. What do I do?

2. I also have the problem where my dashboard run is different than my actual run. It shows the map correctly but the pace and time are way off. I ran 5 miles at a 10'00" pace according to my fitbit when I was running, but my phone dashboard says 4 miles at a 12'34' pace and my computer says 4 miles at 10'00". Has anyone else ever had this problem?

@stacey929 Thanks for joining the Fitbit family! Sorry for the delayed response.

Are you still experiencing those issues with the distance?

I recommend performing a couple more restarts as sometimes the first one won't do effect.

Also, adjusting your stride length will better its accuracy towards distance, just as you already did! Thanks!

Additionally, have you tried logging that activity manually? You can even input the exact distance you covered this way. You should try to compare!

Please keep me posted on how your One is behaving these days! Smiley Happy
